Just a simple question - do you want the next animated Transformers cartoon that Hasbro makes to be based on the movie franchise?

It depends. I think a lot of people want to see "movie versions" of their favorite character, and I think the only chance most of them have is if there were a regular movie comic or cartoon.

I, however, want to see something along the lines of Animated. Either an entirely new continuity, or perhaps even a continuation of the G1 storyline.

I have to say no, simply becasue I don't see them doing it. How well would a show toyline, for a show based on the movie, sell when the movie toyline was so recent? Even if they introduce new characters, would they just skip all the ones from the movie?

Definitely not but that will probably be the direction they go in.

Depending on how they go about on the animation. I wouldn't want teen titan styling for the movie. Don't get me wrong, it was good for animated, but won't be for the movie

Yes, I think it would be great. I really like the idea. I've often thought it would be great as a series, though I highly doubt that hasbro would see it the same way.

^ This is why I doubt they'd do it.

I think it would be very cool if they did, though.

    I voted no.

I like the movies and their design within the movie universe. For a cartoon I want something different. The great thing over the last couple of years is the diversity of styles available. Universe, Animated and Movie. It would be a shame to loose that diversity.

Good god, hell no. Leave that sad universe all to paramount...

And to the poster who said it would be nice if they did a continuation of G1? Will never happen. THE continuity that started it all means nothing to anyone with any means to do anything about it. And its fans are generally the ones always kicked to the curb....yea, would be sweet but it will never happen any time in reality IMO.

I love the movie, but it's about as incompatible with traditional cell animation as you can get with movies.

I'd just like a new series, keep the movie series in the movies, where it works.

Beast Wars was kind of a continuation of G1. I just meant in that official timeline somewhere. Transtech would have been a continuation of G1.

    I wouldn't mind it actually.

Just think, it could be a show that takes place in between the first and second movies and it could be about NEST and the Autobots hunting down Decepticons.

Movie Transformers should stay Movie Transformers, not become animated Transformers. That would look awful.
