What the title says, do you use instructions? I think transforming figures for the first time is funner without them. I stopped using them when I got '07 Movie Arcee.
Depends. For ROTF Leader Prime, yes, otherwise I'd have been there for hours trying to figure it out. Plus, I might end up breaking a piece on a figure if I try too hard mistransforming it. But for something trivial like Animated Jazz, I don't bother.
The first time transforming a new mold from whatever mode it's packed in to the alternate mode, just to make sure I know what's supposed to move and that I'm not going to break anything. Otherwise, no.
I almost never use instructions, but one time my brother caught me with the instructions page.....unfolded! Oh the horror! I redeemed myself my transforming Animated Blurr with my eyes closed though.
Yes indeed I do for anything that might have a bizarre transformation. For really simple guys like legends and mini-cons not usually. As a general rule I get really weirded out if I break one so I'd just assume not risk it. (Still, once i TF something once it's locked in and I don't have to check again ^_^.)
yes, but only the first time from whatever mode they come packed in, exceptions being MP megatron and such
I generally always use instructions the first time I transform someone (unless i got it without them) as I had voyager animated megs transformed wrong for months before I realized that I had him the wrong way. Good job me.
Instructions? Feh, who needs them. I transform all my figures right out of the box, with my feet...While standing on my head with my eyes closed!
Nope, don't pay attention to them anymore. I hear they're pretty confusing nowadays anyway, with the complexity of the movie toys. If I do get stuck, I use a picture reference, then video reviews as a last resort.
I try not to use them and I only give myself the first step to get started. The exceptions are Leader class figures, and "Cybertronian" alt-mode figures. If I can recognize what it's supposed to be, then I'll give it a shot without instructions, but if it's turning into something unrecognizable or it's extremely complex, instructions all the way.
I use the instructions at times, sometimes I go by the reviews on youtube or this site, since Hasbro has been forgetting steps lately
