I do. Simply for the fact that it focused A LOT more on the robots.

Also, it completely redeemed Optimus' ass whooping from the first movie. Although, I think they made Megatron a little too weak.

Yes, WAY better imo. More action, more robots and Optimus was a badass.

I like them equally as much but in different ways. I find them to be very different movies.

I agree I love the extra robot screen time, devastator, megan fox running in the desert, soundwave, and much clearer battle scenes.

IMO, it was a lot better. I loved the action, the humor and all the robot screentime. And then I didn't even mention that Prime was an absolute badass.

Better? Not quite. On par maybe.

This being said, I thoroughly enjoy both movies. But I don't look at them as singular entities. To me this is just another installment in what will be a multipart epic. When it's done, I'll comment over all of it. Until then they have plenty of time to explore loose threads for more detail.

This movie does pose more questions than the first, and create tons of potential to tap for later though. Far moreso than the first. And it did manage to conveniently cover the parts I didn't like with story centric reasons, like that damn politician being only authed to see prime.

Yes and no. I thought the action was better in RotF and liked the increased focus on the TFs. However, the first movie had a tighter plot and benefitted from having a smaller cast to focus on.

I need to see the movie a few more times to have a solid opinion. Right now they are on even ground for me.

I didn't enjoy it as much as the first movie

during the first time I saw the first movie, I didn't stop and think "holy when is this gonna end" and I wasn't confused about anything going on, it was pretty straight forward.

I can't say the same for the second movie. It was still good, but not as good as the first

    Bingo.

I liked the Transformer presence throughout this movie, that they always felt like they were there.

Short of Blackout's big scene in the beginning, there wasn't a whole lot of robot ass-kicking from anyone until halfway into the movie.

I think this was another good step. They know what they can do, what people like and don't like, and hopefully they'll work out the last problems for the final movie.

Regardless, both movies were plain ol' fun, which is what matters to me in the end.

Final movie? This isn't a trilogy. It's just a multipart epic. We are used to trilogies from star wars and so on, but this series could drag on to 5 movies, 6, or even 13! There has been no story cap yet.
