or do you think you should just spend that 60$ on the toys
I'm pretty sure everyone would spend it on the game
What game are you talking about?
War for Cybertron >.>
Depends on how good the game is. If it's PS2 Armada awesome, then I have no problem dropping $60 on it. If it's like the movie games, then bargain bin it is.
i think it should be good being that its not a game based on a movie. either way im a gamer so it wont hurt me dropping 60 on it.
Most games this gen aren't. The $60 pricetag is such bullshit. Made all the worse with Activision making the push with it on PC games now, with MW2 starting the trend (and seriously, how can you justify a game that took out content and crucial features its predecessor had being more expensive?) and more games following (Assassin's Creed 2 being the first to come to mind), it's not due to the "more expensive licensing/development costs" bs we got fed at the start of this gen, it's just Activision doing as Activision does.
But that's a rant for another place and time, sorry 'bout that.
We'll have to see how good the gameplay is, before we can decide if it's worth it or not.
I have no intentions of spending that much on the game. I would rather have the toys. Whether it is worth that amount or not will depend on what we see of the gameplay footage and what advanced reviews say. I will probably buy it, but not at an RRP.
However, I hope it's better than the PS2 Armada game.
Hard to say. We haven't seen much of the game yet, but regardless of what we think of it, it's going to cost the going price of a game similar to it. $59.99 is the standard fee for PS3 games (I don't know about XBOX 360), and there are a lot of games in the price range I'm sure many of us regret buying at that price or regret buying period, but whatever the case, most here have already made up their mind about buying/not buying this game, so I guess $59.99 is a fair price.
I predict this game will get an 80 out of 100 average in official reviews. If it's close to that, for a Transformers game, that's awesome and well worth $60. Time will tell.
I'd drop the $60. It seems like it'll end up being a pretty good game.
Probably not, but then most games aren't worth the $60 price tag either. I see no reason that this will be any different despite it being Transformers.
definately, i am getting this BA asap
Meh. I've bought $60 games that aren't all that great. Its not like this game can be truly horrible, so I'm not fretting it.
None of the other ones were worth the $60, thats why I got them when they were on sale for $20 and $30.
I'll do my usual and wait till the price drops. What can I say, I'm cheap.
$60 for a game nowadays isn't bad at all if you take all that goes into them into consideration, even when companies are nickel and diming you with DLC. As NGW said though, that is a conversation for another time.
If you're just judging by entertainment value, well, I would say look at what you've spent on entertainment recently. For the amount of time you get out of most video games, they really can't be beat for their value unless you get a game you just can't stand and decide not to play it. If you're worried this is going to be a game you can't stand, just wait for the reviews, which I'm sure there will be a ton of them to look up on these forums alone.
I'll be getting it first day most likely, so the the answer is an easy yes from me.
I wish games cost me 60 bucks.
I'll be grabbing this game for sure. I got Armada on PS2 and it was awesome.
