Am I the only one who thinks tha Seth McFarlane's Brian voice from Family Guy would make a good Transformer?

 

I'm quite happy with the voices we have doing their good jobs and not being on Entertainment Weekly every night. Peter Cullen, Frank Welker, The Rock, Jeffrey Combs, Kevin Michael Richardson, Adam Baldwin, Gina Torres, Ernie Hudson, Josh Keaton, Daran Norris, Steve Blum, and soon David Kaye? That's damn impressive for a kids show's cast and better then "celebrities" in my opinion. And they all are fantastic voicing their respective characters as well (yes I know that I am not a fan of Cullen's weak performance with a weakly written Optimus, but bear with me for now).

Though I admit some celebrities I'd make an exception to, like Jeremy Irons, James Earl Jones, James Woods, Leonard Nimoy, Tom Hanks, or a few others. I mean, how cool would it be for James Earl Jones to voice someone like Omega Supreme or James Woods as Swindle? Part of what makes these characters so cool is the fact you already know their voice actors as someone else. Like for Starscream, you could say, "Hey, cool, Tank Dempsey is getting beat up by Megatron", or "Timmy's Dad is getting his paint scratched," or "The Rock just got his ass blown up, stabbed, zombified, sliced, and blown up again".

 

Yeah I forgot about the Rock probably cause he was only in one episode.

He would kick ass as a Dr.Scalpel someday.

To me, a wild but cool choice would be Óscar Jaenada, if you watched POTC 4 you know this guy: He was The Spaniard. And he kicked ass. He would be awesum as some Spanish-accented badass thug, maybe Drift.

Oh, and me as Slugslinger.

Every voice actor in Transformers: Prime is a celeb, perhaps the biggest name there is Mr. Voices, Frank Welker! Though half the cast are so are known mainly for their VA talents the other half has been shown in movies and TV shows.

If you meant to say A list stars, I’d probably argue they have two in Frank Welker and Peter Cullen, but that’s probably just me—Frank Welker has done a lot of work for all sorts of Hollywood movies.

James Woods would make an awesome Swindle! I’d love to hear James Earl Jones voice Unicron, but a recent promo has already shown us what to expect from Unicron this time around  Unicron needs much more bass in his voice, sorry—Orson Welles set the bar way back in ’86 and, yes, it’s pretty high.

 

I support Natalie Portman for the voice of TF: Prime Soundwave.

 

Not sure if she's famous enough for this thread's intent, but I wouldn't mind hearing Pauline Newstone.

If her name doesn't ring a bell, then think Airaizor from Beasties, Freiza from DBZ & the cobra from Mummies Alive.

I think she’d make a fantastic Elita-1, but I wouldn’t mind hearing these ladies voicing the same character either Lori Alan or Lee Meriwether.

I fully support Michael Ironside or Ron Pearlman showing up and voicing a Transformer, because their work in the DCAU was pheronominal. Oh, and the vocal god Keith David needs to voice someone, because he's Keith Fucking David.

 

I would love Leonard Nimoy back as Sentinel, or some of the original Primes....

Or Mark Hamill as The Fallen!
