I don't think he was paralyzed. I think he was in the wheelchair due to damage to his left foot / leg.
Hardly, the movie showed only his right [I think] leg with some banges on, he likely only broke his foot. Why is he walking on a wheelchair, you might ask? Because he's rich. and he's Simmons. Those things will only result in awesomeness.
My cousin had his leg broken in multiple places when he was a kid. Dumbass got hit by a car while dashing across the road to chase down the Polar Cup truck. But, he had a wheel chair just like Simmons, keeping his leg extended out. He also had to have a special bed brought into the house. It was so big, they could fit it only in the living room. So no, I don't think Simmons was paralyzed. However, if/when they make a forth movie instead of a reboot, him being seriously crippled from the incident would be an interesting character development piece.
Thanks, I've never been injured before so I don't exactly know this kind of stuff too well. However, I don't think it's a good idea to permanently cripple him because of his light hearted nature.
Oh come on. Simmons walking around with a cane, and putting it to multiple uses would be fun. I can see it now, Sideswipe says something condescending towards Simmons. Simmons takes out his walking stick and whacks Sideswipe on the top of the head with it. Optimus has to come in and stop Swipe from taking his sword and attempting to whack Simmons head off with it.
now, in my fanfic, i'll make cripple simmons have a cane like some rich bastard that can be pulled apart to attach to his pistol (cane grip + upper 3rd = shoulder stock, lower 3rd = barrel extension, upper middle 6th = scope, lower middle 6th = grenade launcher) anyone see that happening?
With Simmons, yeah. He was annoying as hell in the first movie, but he and Epps ended up being my favorites out of the human characters. You think there is still a chance that either Turturo or Tyrese would make another Transformers movie????
lol Now I can imagine Simmons saying "No one is really disabled as long as they have COURAGE!" I wish they had put that line in the movie now.
I don't even think he was paralyzed. Just one of his legs was broken, and a wheelchair was just more convenient to move around in. Though that's not to say there's no permanent damage. The T-Rex in JURASSIC PARK gave Ian Malcolm a broken leg, and in the sequel, though he didn't have crutches or a wheelchair, he still had complications with it.
no, it shows his leg being broken and held up; if he was paralyzed, he wouldve been left on a stretcher
