Do you think Prime RID will have any toy only characters?

Perhaps this has been mentioned before, but I couldn't find a thread relating to it. So in most lines, though perhaps TFA is the exception (Oil Slick ended up in the show even though he was designed differently), we end up getting at least a few toy only characters. So far, to my knowledge, we only have Hot Shot as toy only (though we don't know if he'll end up in the show) character, but even then he's established as a character in the TF multiverse. What I'm talking about is an entirely new character which may or may not be a repaint (such as Transformers Cybertron Jungle Megatron or Cannon Ball). Do you guys think it'll be a possibility, or do you think Hasbro will stick to the featured cast?

Personally, I just don't feel that it would happen, but I'd love to be proved wrong.

Who knows? It's too early to tell. However I can totally see them making toys of characters that are in the Prime universe but not in the show. (At least not yet anyway.) Like make a Deluxe toy of Prowl and Barricade based on how they appear in the upcoming MMOG. That's set in the Prime universe so yes Hasbro could do that!

Yes, but they have some other media backing them up, plus the're established characters in the multiverse (actually my jungle Megatron example was a bad choce). That being said, I'd love to see those figures, especially Prowl. I suppose what I'm trying to say is will there be characters like movie Incinerator who have nothing except for the figure itself.

Hot Shot is most likely toy only.

dead end may be toy only, OR he may be in the show....could be cool. doubt we'd see Menasor though but I would love for the rest of the crew to be there regardless. I would rather enjoy seeing a femme Drag Strip in an actual show.

Ironhide doesn't count as toy-only IMHO, there's no way they can get away with not having him in the show.

Toy-only characters? Well, we're apparently getting a Cyberverse Ultra Magnus, and I don't expect him to be making an appearance in the show any time soon.

I actually REALLY hope so, because then the possibilities would be open as to what number (or characters) of toys we'd be getting. :D

I hope we see a Hound, for some reason.

Kind of early to be claiming Dead End and Rumble are toy-only characters, isn't it?

Well Ironhide isn't really a toy only character, He was in WFC/FOC/Exodus (Haven't read Exiles yet) So He has got meaing in the new series and Hotshot was in the DS version as a Hotrod homage, But they're not very canon in the big picture.

    I hope so. :D

It's not like they have only the show's limited resources to pull from. The entire Aligned Continuity is up for grabs. The MMO characters like Prowl and Barricade (ohgodyesplease, give me both), and heck, take some WFC characters and put them through the Prime filter. If they ever have to turn up in the show, great, it saves the character designers some time and they can focus on getting the 3d model done. Or even just completely new guys (like Animated's Oilslick, for instance) who aren't intended to be anyone we know or indeed have a role in the show. That kind of freedom leads to really good toys (like Animated's Oilslick, for instance).

So long as they don't go the nightmare inducing movie-tie-in route of "Pleasure Attack Bumblebee" or "Cat Blade Arcee", I'll be fine. Unless Arcee wields a sword made of cats in the show or Bumblebee becomes a raging pervert. "Terorcon Cliff" is acceptable, but "Meteor Defense Cliff" would be stupid, and a wasted opportunity.
