As much chance as George Lucas making Star Wars episode 7.

More like the odds of the OP easing up on the caps lock key.

The odds of a new series are slim to none, but one-off movies and specials are still quite possible. However, after seeing all the bullshit the Bardock miniseries had (Bardock being a Super Saiyan? Come on.) I really do not want to see Toei and Shonen Jump expanding the series any further. It hasn't reached the levels of embarassing garbage like Bleach and One Piece have had in terms of pointless content, but at this point they are getting pretty damn close.

As far as remakes go, the only real chance of that ever happening now is Toei deciding to Kai up the Saiyaman-Buu sagas.

Also yeah, there is already a thread as linked above.

Either you die a good show or live long enough to see yourself become shit.

Dear god no. Dragonball Z itself wasn't that good, and GT was a mistake. Trying to resurrect that series would only drive it deeper than 6 feet under.

that is why we can never again have another dragonball reboot.

everytime some one new takes over...

    they totally ruin it :lol

Honestly a rebooted anime could work. The main problem with GT wasn't that Toriyama wasn't involved, so much as it was Toei trying to emulate his style of writing, and failing. If they actually tried doing something with the franchise that wasn't trying to emulate him so much, it would probably work out a whole lot better.

It's likely to never happen though. They're pretty set in their ways that new DB stuff has to have him involved no matter what.

I don't think so. It's been quite a while since the last series ended and I don't think the creator want's to go back there. Personally I think it should not be continued there are well over a hundred episodes and I hate series that just continue for no real reason except for it's popularity.

That was kind of the point I was making. You can't really continue with that story anymore. Try something completely different.

Shame is, a solid story behind GT would have had such potential, but it will be another in the long list of things we will never get to see :(
