This has probably been discussed before. They have to have a mention of this or there is already a plot hole. How do you think it will be explained?

I would like letter of some sort that Sam keeps looking back on. SOmething like that.

 

I believe her name will be mention at least once or twice in the movie.

 

Yeah I'm sure at some point in the beginning we will get a brief in-passing explanation of how they are no longer together. Better be a good one too, cause they've been through some tight sh!t together.

Yes, and here's how they will do it: they'll explain that Mikaela ended up being a Transformer herself... she transformed her face into something almost unrecognizable, after seeing a different Dr. Scalpel.

Probably. Doesn't need much, just a line or two - or it risks derailing the plot. Unless Bay's pulling something out of his ass that makes it part of the plot, that might work, might not.

 

personally, i always thought a quick shot of Sam standing over her grave during Prime's opening monologue would have been a great way of getting rid of the character quickly and simply....

 

Bay said Sam has been dumped. They'll probably mention it in one or two lines and move on.

 

I just hope its a short but satisfactory explaination. No need to dwell on it for too long.

I guess she got tired of being the main guys girlfriend and called it quits. $10 says she's gone off to fight Transformers on her own, and gets squished.

In the Michael Bay interview, he said that they simply broke up.

I personally call bullcrap on that. That would be the stupidest explanation ever. After all that the two have been through, and the "death scene" in ROTF where she is screaming and crying that she loves him and he wakes up and loves her back. They can't just break up like cheesy teenagers! I really hope they don't run with this.

 

Do you think Mikeala's absence will be explained?

Yes,but not properly,very rushed & not enough substance.

 

I think it will probably be something cheesy, like a letter from her saying that while she will always love him, she cant handle the crazy-ass intense life that she has with him, so she's going off to live a normal life. Sam is crushed but respects her logical decision, because in movie 2 he wanted the same thing.

Though it would have been more fun if she were KIA.
