I only have 2 detolf glass displays, one double and an aquarium. Not much space for the amount of bots I have. For those who have only a few display cases, do you rotate the toys displayed? The wife suggested it to me. There are many benefits in doing this. Less dust. More fun posing some, etc

If so how often do you do this?

I rotate my stuff out yearly to semi-yearly, as new toy lines come out, or when I want to showcase versions of a certain character (currently got a whole shelf fulla Grimlock).

Another benefit is that the ones that are displayed don't seem too cluttered.

Also do you guys have an area in your display where you can properly display them in scenes from like the movie? I'm debating if I should just box some of them and have space just for that. Rotating them as I go.

Only when I masturbate! Someone's gotta get that one. HAHA!

But seriously, I unfortunately have a little bit of space issues, that prevent me from rotating people in and out of the shelf. But then again, the problem is I have the shelves set up to show the different toys lines, and being I do largest in the back to smallest up front, leaves me little options for rotating.

I am about to do this myself. I currently have just about ALL of my figures displayed (I have over 1200 figures), but I am now out of room and everthing is clutterred. I just cleaned out a closet and bought a bunch of storage containers. I will be storing a bunch of my figures and changing the display around so they are not so clutterred and so that I can change up the displays more easily. I would like to be more creative then just placing them on a shelf and maybe create a movie scene or something. We'll see how that goes :)

I take things out to make room, but I don't really rotate them.

I main collect CHUG and have a stray from other universes here and there so that keeps my collection manageable. When i have the money to do so, i will have two 5 shelf-units from walmart and a 3 shelf-unit that will be in between them. The 5ers with be autobots and decepticons respectively. the smaller middle self will be for showcasing new and favorites/expensive

Ok, will do. I haven't put anything away yet, so I can take before pics. So far I have only made the room for storage. The after pics will come slowly, lol. This will be more of a "process" than a simple "before and after" but I will take pics along the way and try to post them here :D

I have close to 800 figures and have only ever had room to display about 300. I tend to switch my display around every month while dusting. However, there are several figures that don't get put into storage bins. None of my Masterpieces or 3rd party figures will ever have to fear being put up. Nor will my Botcon/TFCC/E-Hobby exclusives.

I don't believe in the "no space" scenario. :D

I only have two shelves. One for bots and one for cons. Sometimes I'll switch things up and do all bots or all cons.

It's not too often I do that though

I rotate them also mainly because I have no space! I keep hinting to my family about my intentions to build a vast display cupboard, I get the look of death from my folks and my wife! LOL! My most recent display was my movie figures but they're going into storage.

I'm thinking of displaying my 1984 collection but after thinking things through, I have decided against it...I can't risk my nephews and nieces accidentally damaging them.

Maybe in the long term, I may just display my movie TFs as their sculpts look pretty sharp.

G1,CHUG and Beast Wars all have permanent homes but I rotate my Movie Stuff and Animated every 6 months.my Movie stuff currently occupies 2 shelves.in January Ill take them down and put the Animated stuff in there.

works well for me!!when I get a decent amount of Prime stuff I will work them into that rotation too.
