This idea that there are finite MP slots as decreed by some grand Takara overlord, that the MP design team then have a choice to fill with whatever they wish is ridiculous. It's obviously so much more complicated than that and has a lot more to do with the design cost involved, ease of production, how many they think they can sell, the amount of profit they can make per unit etc etc...you know what they call making a strong business case. They're not bloody pulled out of a hat you know! We are getting a Convoy V3 because they KNOW it will sell better than say...Blitzwing or whatever C-list character from your personal wish list you're sore they haven't given the MP treatment yet. Which is something they never promised they'd do anyway, they could have simply stuck to doing a new version of the same handful of iconic characters over and over and turned a profit, instead we have an MP Inferno.. Inferno?! What he's barly a character! MP Dinobot?! Never thought that would happen! When the line started none of us, except the hopelessly deluded, though we'd ever see over 40 releases in the line. So maybe we should be thankful for what we've been given rather then bemoan what we haven't.

The over 40 releases is a stretch considering they pad the release number with odd repaints and casettes. That and the first 10 releases are essentially part of a different lines.

I don't see why, many people wanted and paid for those repaints and cassettes. However if you'd like let's reduce that figure to 20, it's still more that we could ever imagine when MP1 debuted.

Based on this truth alone, I'm ok with being the only person who thinks Takara MP Collecting is becoming a pointless waste of time.

I haven't bought MP-10 yet, so I'd be interested. Most important thing to me at this point would be if the new one had the med-bay and Roller.

All our problems are first world problems. The cliche is done. It's the sarcastic new way of saying STFU without having the guts to actually say it. Nobody deserves to be told to STFU on a toy board for any reason. That's why we have mods.

Completely this. It's a never-ending proposition, one that I did not think would occur in a line named 'Masterpiece'. Maybe best just to wait another ten years, when they figure out what a masterpiece truly is.

Today’s masterpiece will be tomorrow’s obsolescence.

At the very least, it is VERY dismissive.

Not really. I am highly critical of TT but they still make the odd figure that you can hardly find a representation for on 3p. To me right now its just another company among the multitude producing TF figures, nothing special really but nothing 'bad' either.
