I'd like to piss on Bay for choosing the first. Really took me out of the movie. I think the majority would have shit themselves had Soundwave said "Ravage...eject" upon bursting him out of his "asshole" to earth.

It's his opinion. I gotta agree with him, the Claw voice is equally awesome IMO.

I agree, I would have loved the vocoder to be in place, but I was able to adjust to the Dr. Claw voice well, partly because Inspector Gadget was a huge part of my childhood and how dissapointing the LAM version of Claw was.

Vocoder is the best. I can't stand Soundwave speaking in Dr. Claw's voice without the vocoder.

    Vocoded.

The most original voice in the Cartoon. I'd love to see it done properly on the DVD/BluRay discs. Either way, Soundwave was awesome.

    This.

Be honest, would you be more scared of a giant alien robot with the Dr Claw voice or the vocoder voice? I'd be scared like sh*t if a robot with Dr Claw voice stood before me, but if a robot with the vocoder voice stood before me I'd probably burst out in laughter. I love the vocoder voice for the cartoon and games and stuff, but for the movies the Dr Claw voice is better IMO.

Vocoder, it's just not soundwave without it.....

Sorry but the movie soundwave not only doesn't look anything like ANY incartanion of soundwave and I can get pass that but if you don't have his monotone voice then just fuck it it's not soundwave.

I dont mind it. But as pointed out yes I be more terrified of the Dr. Claw than vocoder voice. Plus, Bay is trying to make them more alien than just all pure robotic. Sides, the Vocoder has to be done perfectly. I'm sure they coulda but ppl with their youtube videos make Soundwave very hard to understand sometimes.

For all I care Welker could of used Uni's voice from D&D, we had Soundwave and his original voice actor that is all I wanted.

Dr. Claw. It just works for Soundwave in the movie. I actually wish it was like that in the game, it wasn't even Frank Welker, yet they got him to do that God-awful Megatron voice. Game Soundwave sounds so... boring and incomprehensible at some time.

But yeah, Soundave in the actual movie was scary, cool, distinct and yet he sounded very composed. Like a dude who wears a suit to battle. That's how I always pictured G1 Soundwave.

that video game soundbyte was wak, the dr claw voice is better than the video game version, but a proper vocoded soundwave is greater than dr claw

id be scared of a giant alien robot no mater what his voice sounded like. But the vocoded voice is more scary from an alien robot point of view. Whats scarier, a completely computerized robotic voice comming from a hugh alien robotic life form which screams out sentiant alien robot, or an angry human voice comming from an alien that only screams out sentiant robot? the alien part is really the scary part, and if the alien sounds like a human it will not be as scary as one that sounds like its from another world

Vocoder. It makes Soundwave's voice not only cool sounding, but unique too.

You mean the Revenge of the Fallen game? Soundwave's in it?! :D  I know he's probably not playable but as long as he's atleast got a cameo, I'll be happy. I heard that in the future, DLC characters will be available, including Soundwave possibly. Dammit, I can't wait to get a 360 so I can get this game!
