Depends, if you stay close to home it's easier to stay in touch. But if you move away like I did, yeah you do "lose" track of your highschool friends.

I've lost contact with some but by no means all of them. The real keeper from my high school days is my wife. :D

I only talk to a few of my HS buddies, you start making friends at work and such once you get older.

    HAHAHAHA

    Glorious.

I lost all mine in College. I just remember thinking I'm made some stupid choices and stopped hanging out with my high school friends.

There's two guys I knew in HS I still see from time to time, and one other guy I talk to online very rarely. I moved out of my hometown the year I graduated HS and haven't lived there since, so that's part of the reason I've lost contact with everyone.

Yup! It's cool though, because you'll soon realize high school was a joke.

Yes. It is a little known law that once you graduate high school, you are not allowed to see, nor to contact people you knew in High School at all, ever again. Under threat of prosecution.

As to your college question, it depends which college you go to, or what arrangements you make. If you go to one close to home, you could stay at home. At one farther off, you would more likely live in residence or in a student neighbourhood.

There's a time and a place for everything, and its called college.

Lost a lot, but not all. I've known my best friends (people I talk to and hang out with every week) for 15+ years now.

I still stay in contact with some of my high school friends, mainly through Facebook. Thank goodness for FB because I have a best friend who moved out of U.S. and I lost contact with him for over a year, and now we can chit-chat on that social network website.

You usually manage to keep 1 or 2, very close friends, but you gain new ones in college then work, and sometimes you make new ones thru a web site or 2..:)

Pretty much, but I never was "friends" with anyone, just buddy-buddy. Don't worry, you make new ones.

Nope, I still communicate with most of my HS friends via facebook. In fact, a friend I've known since 5th grade only lives about 5 mins from my home.

I'm 16 years out of HS and I think it is safe to say that yes, as time goes by you will probably lose contact with most if not all of your HS grab-assy friends. You'll meet new people in college, then move on to a career where you'll probably meet a bunch of other new people. Then you'll find a woman to settle down with and most likely make some babies; at some point you'll move far from home in search of a higher paying job or better school district for the childrens (or to keep the wife happy); through that process you'll meet even more new people. By that time HS won't be visible in the rear view and the most interaction you'll get from your old HS friends will be reading their lame ass posts on facebook.

Don't worry too much about college. Have a good time with what's left of HS. You seem like a guy who will do OK in college.
