    abbs not ribbs.

Just wish they'd had them from the start, instead of them just randomly appearing now.

I've said this before, and I'll still say that those abs came from his power-up mode in DOTM.

The abs are not part of prime.

I donno, Bee got some new torso detailing as well. And ILM had said that they were adding a few new details to both character models. I'm to assume these "abs" are part of that.

I don't really see them as literal abs, though. Not human abs anyway. More like armor plating that would be on the abdomen section of body armor.

I thought that ILM wanted to make him look more older, but instead if this, they gave him trained abs!
    Weird...

Actually I believe what they said was that they were making Optimus more "Heroic" And Bee was to look slightly more "Mature".

Doesn't bother me at all. They really aren't that noticeable, unless you really look at him.

EDIT: They are quite noticeable, but is still doesn't bother me in the slightest.

I don't really care. It doesn't make a difference to me, and they're not THAT noticeable anyway.

Don't like them, but not because they resemble muscles. I don't like that they obscure the grill halves, which was well integrated altmode 'kibble'. I just prefer recognizable kibble over detailed robot parts. I would have been happier if they brought the grill-halves forward and, say, split them up into six pieces. But it's a minor annoyance, and I do like the rest of the changes they made.

I like the look. Resembles human muscles yet, they are metal parts

Even though I said I'm not a big fan, I still like Rhinox's abs in the Transformers Universe Comics.

I don't see why not. They're humanoid; or at least taking humanoid forms, which means they resemble humans. To resemble humans, they must have human features. Abs are human features.

Of course, they have no reason to display them, because abs are muscles; a part of the human body we need for motion. The transformers have no muscles, so I guess it is a little silly.

Either way, I don't really care.

I hate that one guy comes up with a term for things and then everyone adopts that term.

Also, you'll barely notice them in the film.

They'll be far too much action and quick cuts to actually focus on the detail of a TF.

Can't say I'm fond. I preferred the grill mechanics being a suggestion of abs rather than out and out robot abs. I suppose at least he's not got a track of metal wirey pubes running up out of his tin underpants to his belly button. :p

Are they randomly appearing? Isn't that about where Megatron stabbed and shot him? Maybe the new abs are the result of the repair work done.
