You know, the Cybertron clearance packs where you say, hell yeah, there's Snarl, but he comes with...................fuck............Thundercracker. Do you consider it stealing if the person shopping wiggles the Thundercracker out and replaces it with, say, Dirt Boss from another 2 pack (and replaced Dirt Boss with Thundercracker. it always seems that when i go look at the 2 pack section, i see on TF i really need paired with one i already have or dont want. usually i buy it anyway and sell the extra one off for $5-6 bucks...............do you guys consider it stealing to replace the unwanted figure with a wanted one, proveided the wanted onw was also from the clearance rack?

Did you walk out of the store with a TF you didn't pay for? No?

Then it's not stealing, now is it?

As long as you are taking another figure from a two pack, then no. They are randomly packaged anyway.

If it's from two-pack to two-pack, I wouldn't take issue with it unless there's a specific reason why items are paired with one another (which doesn't seem to be the case, it seems totally random in my experience). If, say, they paired a Wave 1 fig with a Wave 2 fig on all of the packs, then I might have a problem with you bumping a couple Wave 2's together.

Your best bet, and what I would do, is just ask a store associate how the 2-pack arrangement is done, and base your actions on that.

I think what you're doing is OK. I can see where it would NEED to be done, like the two-pack that's been at my TRU forever-- with TWO SNARLS. :banghead:

They're apparantly random, so no big deal as far as I can see.

Nope, I don't consider it stealing. You're paying the same for the same amount of toys.

Towards the end of Energon, I went to TRU one time, and they had cruellock in a 2pack with offshoot I think, but I only wanted cruuelock, so Is wiggled the crullock out and took the sticker off the bottom that said not of rindividual sale, and I felt a little bad, but I assured my self I was letting Hasbro/TRU make more money this way

I dont think so at all, I was acually thinking about doing this as they now have Cybertron basics bandled in two packs up here now, although at least this way it gives me an excuse to buy lots of Cyb basics now.

The associates have no idea how the two-packs are decided. All that is done in China and they ship like that from the factory. These aren;t re-used pre-packed toys, these are all-new runs.

Seeing as how I did it with the Cybertron bogos, then no, I don't have a problem with it. :p
They're totally random; there were a total of three figs that I didn't own among them all, one of which I didn't want (Dirt Boss), so I swapped a couple out to get a two pack with the two I wanted/needed. No harm, no foul.

Both my Energon BOGOS and my recent GI Joe BOGOs all say the card and repacking is done in the US.
They aren't fresh runs, the reason BOGOs exists is to clear old stock.

I don't have an issue if it's from 2 pack to 2 pack. I would have an issue if (Like when I was at TRU with the Energon BoGo, it happened a LOT) people tried to remove the 2 basics and replace them with 2 combiner pieces. THAT IMHO would be stealing....since the figures were not part of the BoGo offer at all...but just between 2 BoGo packs is fine :)

It is random, and sometimes just plain stupid. Last year I saw at Walmart an Energon 2-pack with TWO Arcees, and another with TWO Divebombs. And they didn't look like they'd been tampered with at all.

Go with your gut instinct, DarkStar. If you feel guilty, don't do it. Otherwise, I wouldn't sweat it because you're still paying for a 2-pack regardless.

I would have had no problem picking up a double Divebomb pack.

Man 2 divebombs would be great for my Buzzsaw/Laserbeak repaint project that I'll never get around to!

But I don't understand the whole concept of the 2 packs anyway, If a toy doesn't sell at a set price point why sell two toys at the same pricepoint? Especially when many people probably have one of them from when the first wave came out.

    Still need:
    Landmine
    Sideways
    Divebomb
