I hate the movies. I am a strict G1 / Classics collector but since the beginning of this month I have collected DOTM toys because of the great deals that could be had combining coupons or the other sales that stacked with the coupons and offers as well.

I have scored over 150 figures in the past month and maybe came out the pocket $60 LOL.


Has anyone stated collecting Movie figures due to the great deals this month?

I know I have and they are starting to grow on me. I especially love the vehicle designs although the robot designs are flawed to me still.

 

No, every coupon I have used has been on a Generations figure.

 

I used some coupons on Generations figures but they were all extras. I have had every classics figure in my collection since September.

Now I am trying to get all of the DOTM / 3rd Party stuff as that is my focus now.

 

I must have missed a lot. What are all these coupons going around that you can stack up and basically get figures for next to nothing?

 

Where do you people find these coupons?!?!

 

i've taken advantage of a few offers so far to get mechtech weapons for my other figures. Though i'm still holding out for that lunarfire dlx optimus.

TRU has figures 2 for $18 and is sending out $3 and $5 dollar off coupons to TRU rewards members that stack with manufacturer coupons

Kohls has a $10 off $30 coupon in the Newspaper that stacks with manufacturer coupons.

Target had a Mobile coupon that stacked with manufacturer coupon and figures on sale for $9.99 for the first 2 weeks of October. I got over 120 figures for free that way.

Hasbro Vendors had put $5 off coupons in random stores for the first 2 weeks of this month but they are expired now as of the 16th

You can still print them from the internet 2 per pc per link I provided however.

Enjoy $5 Deluxes and $3 Cyberverse figures from any store and Voyagers are $10 at Walmart with coupons.

 

I felt that way at first until people started buying them from me on Amazon. I took the proceeds and bought what I wanted instead LOL!

 

I bought DLX Roadbuster for free using coupons and DLX Sideswipe for $5(Which I let my dad have. Shitty figure.)

Aside from a few other impulse buys and basic Human Alliance, I'm hardly a movie collector. I only buy the figures with designs I'm alright with, like Sideswipe and Shockwave. There's no way I'd buy a Megatron, Mudflap, or Starscream, even for $5.

 

The coupons have prompted me to buy some figures on which I would have otherwise passed.

 

Even with the coupons I have no interest in the movie figures. I may buy a extra generations Scourge as a sweep though.

 

It's because of the coupons that I got back into collecting, really  

I hadn't bought anything in over a year, and then happened to get on here and learned about the coupon craziness and thought I wouldn't pass up a free Deluxe or $10 Voyager... I got DOTM Shockwave first and started going crazy from there... I got a bunch of movie toys and now I'm back into collecting again (and my wallet hates me)  

 

No. I have a Flak, and I wouldn't mind a Topspin (for the weapons) and maybe a Voyager Sentinel Prime. For the most part, I'm still not interested.
Of course, I never saw the in-store coupons people were raving about. If I had, my opinion might be different.

 

No, but it did increase my movie collection to a grand total of four. I only wanted some of the main cast and none of the repaints.

I got deluxe Bumblebee for $5, which was pretty cool. That more or less completed my movie collection. I'm waiting for the Prime Toys now.
