Remember when Starscream was fighting Iron and Ratchet and he fley away you could see Ironhide and Ratchet Hurt.

But the next time they showed IronHide and Ratchet They Looked Fine

Even Starscream Looked fine when he was on top of the building watching Megatron Try to get the cube from Sam

Ironhide just looked like he's in pain (although he's so beat up it's hard to tell exactly where's he damaged and where he's just old), and Ratchet's a battefield medic, so it's reasonable that IH and Ratchet are okay later on.

Wasn't it stated that the Transformers do "heal" to some extent? "Self-Regenerating Molecular Armor" or somesuch...

Actually if you pay attention to Ironhide, he looks scared of SS.

He backs away and gets blasted. What's up with that?

    Your a truck.

Your enemy's a plane. With missiles.

    I'd be afraid too.

Well living creatures do have the ability to heal and since Transformers are living I'd guess the odds are really high they have some natural way of healing over time.

I guess the question then would be just how much can they heal? Is it about like us or do they heal like some other living creature?

IronHide's 1st step out of the pool showed a broken left ankle. Next step the left ankle worked fine.

per the wording on the ROTF boxes about the mech alive stuff...it is supposed to be technology that was developed by autobots and stolen by decepticon spies that adjusts armor and weapons for strongest tactical advantage and is self regenerative...so yes they are supposed to have the ability to repair themselves...

Yes, their armour is regenerative. It isn't shown very clearly in TF1. It's novelisation depicts Scorponok's tail slowly sealing its wounds.

In the movie, at that moment, he looked scared.

Watch Ratchet, the roles should be reversed. Coz he didn't look scared.

And nobody's bashing Ironhide, he proved he can handle business against Brawl, but Starscream . . . eh.

I'm pretty sure they do heal.

Bumblebee had his legs blown off at the knees, but by the end of the movie, he's as good as new...

I always assumed that this was done with the Allspark shard that Prime took from Megatrons chest. Guess not.

Optimus and Bumblebee get the stuff beaten out of them, but what seems like hours later the vehicle mode looks they just came from the factory. I don't have answer, sorry.
