Do they actually use glue on TF's?

I jut got a Dragstrip HA and I noticed what appears to be a bit of glue or something near one of the pieces near the wheels. Also on my Generations Wheeljack I noticed a part of the back bumper looks like it might have glue on it to hold it to the other piece?

I was under the impression TF's only used screws to hold things together?

    Does anyone know for sure?

Yeah, sometimes because leader Ironhide's (revison) head had glue on it. Used a blow dryer and his head moves now :)

Glue/cement is not uncommon in TF assembly. I've run into several occasions where I've taken apart a TF toy for repairing/modifying/whatever, and had to 'break' apart a glued seam, even though the parts also use screws to hold them together, and hold fine without re-gluing the seams.

Animated Deluxe Prime (Earth Mode), has his knees glued on. I thought there was some weird mold growing inside the piece, but it's glue!

Yea, I busted my Alts Mirage when I didn't notice that someone had gone a little overboard with the glue. Took back my first ROTF Longhaul cause it had a joint glued open. As someone else said, certain joints and pieces are sometimes glued in place, and in some circumstances, parts that shouldn't be glued sometimes have them too.

Yep, they glue parts together pretty often, especially for headlights or windshields if they're a different part from what's surrounding 'em.

When I opened up the thighs on DOTM voyager Skyhammer to tighten them up, they were glued as well as screwed together. So yeah...there's glue in the construction here and there.

Wanted to take my WFC Megatron head apart and replace it for a custom. Totally glued together.

I've come across this more recently than in the past, but they do periodically glue some of the parts together.

Wow I got so many responses. =)

Thank you guys for the feedback. Makes me feel better knowing this.

Was just probably some sloppy application or something then when bits of glue are noticeable and stuff.

Again thanks for the feedback and responses guys. Much appreciated. =)
