Quick background story: We're selling off crap we don't need on UsedCalgary.com (think craigslist type of thing). Our previous use of this site has brought about very unreliable people. They say they want to buy something, but never contact you. You agree to hold it... blah blah. Now we do not hold anything. Basically first come first serve. We also do everythign contact wise by email, as we don't want to waste our time on the phone. I'm selling off my PS3 memory card adapter (a big ticket item... right). I have it up for $10, and new they sell for like $15. I get a few emails this morning asking if it is available, and I say yes. Someone comes by this afternoon and picks it up. Great gone. One of the guys who emailed earlier asks about coming by to pick it up. My wife responds saying that "sorry, but someone picked it up earlier today. Thank you anyway for the interest." Instead of leaving it there, he decides to come back with... and I quote: "Well fuck you then whore." A very interesting way to respond to something like that. Now to my problem at hand. I have this guys email, name, and phone number. Do I do the mature thing and just brush it off as the human race showing one of its shining stars? OR, do I post a nice personal ad on craigslist for this fine "gentleman"? Other ideas are always welcome. Tell me TFW, revenge or maturity? I'm really at a crossroads here. Oh, and Fuzzy if necessary...
Well considering he most likely has all your info too, you need to make sure that's a road you want to go down.
Just be the bigger man and let it go. It's within reason to deck the guy for calling your wife a whore when it happens, but no one likes the "show up a day later for the comeback insult like George Costanza" type.
Let it go. You wasted enough time on that mutant even posting that story here. But if you could meet him in a dark alley, and he was in a wheelchair, I'd give you a way different answer, the prick.
As much as it pains me to do something like this, I also agree you should let it go. To quote Tales of the TMNT "Let me tell you a story...." Not quite two months ago, my ex-sort of girlfriend's ex/boyfriend who she dumped to get it on with me/whatever you want to call him got a hold of my email, and started sending me emails at home making fun of my sister, and trying to goad me into a fight. I made it through about four of these before I went to his workplace, out for blood, to tell him that if he ever talks about a member of my family again he's going to have a big, big problem....well, he peed his pants and called the cops on me, and I got banned from the local mall for a year. Not that I care, but I risk *actual arrest* if I go there for a year. In short, if you get in an email war with this dick, you'll get pissed, you'll go to his house to tell him not to call your wife a nasty name ever again, he'll call the cops...and figure out the rest. But from one normally calm fellow who becomes a raging monster when people insult his loved ones to another, the easiest thing to do it let it go. The guy's probably like a 15 year old kid, come to think of it.
No point in getting yourself into a situation that could lead to a criminal record, though we all know he deserves to have his teeth knocked out. On another note... can someone tell me what the hell this...Fuzzy World is? I keep seeing little blurbs here and there about it, but I've yet to see what anyone's talking about. A little help here??

Someone yelled at my girlfriend for being a girl during a Halo 3 match one time and I sent him the most expletive laden message I could muster which, summed up, told him to go choke on his own dick. It was awesome. I felt great and I got to have sex that night. JUST THINK OF THE POSSIBILITIES! (Just let it go, man. Sounds like Onesock.)

Let it go; safe in the knowledge that with an attitude like that, dickface there is extremely likely to either die a virgin or get brutally horribly murdered (and not by you, so someone else will end up in trouble for it. Bonus). This not only ensures the end of his family line (and thus no more dickfaces to annoy people in the future) but is also extremely funny.
Naw, drop it. I posted an ad on Craigslist looking for a place in New Mexico for a month for a $X amount. I kept getting emails from this one guy (girl?) saying I was crazy for expecting to find a place for that little. They never actually offered me an alternative, just harassed me about my ad. Was it annoying? Yeah. Do I understand you getting your hackles up since your wife was involved? Sure. Is it worth pursuing? Probably not. You'll almost certainly never hit a point where you say, "Now I feel good about it." But you might cause problems for yourself. And in a month, you'll have forgotten about it anyways.
Similar thing happened to me when I sold my motorcycle helmet. It went fast and one guy who was interested emailed me about coming to get it, i said it was gone, he called me an f'n a-hole. I just deleted it and never thought about it since now. Violence solves nothing. Be the better man and let it go.
what the hell? this guy deserves a suplex of epic proportions. print up loads of cards with his phone number on and stick them in as many phoneboxes as possible.
