well can you guys help me i think Megatron has always had a bigger team
I dont think any continuity has Megatron with a bigger team...?
well im not so sure but he always seems like he has more men
Nope, not necessarily. Optimus' team outnumbered Megatron's in the first season of Animated, for one.
Megs were very much outnumbered in the Unicron trilogy too (Cybertron at least).
IDK, my opinion that poll seems pointless, since it is more a fact than a opinion.
Anyway, most of the time it is Megatron's "army".
But there are times when the Autobot's have their up-scale advantages.
if you count total of Animated there are more Autobots then Decepticons
but in Energon he has a whole army so that doesnt count(and the armada ps2 game)
movieverse megs sure does.
um in g1 the decepticons were immensly outnumbered
"Outnumbered but not outclassed."
the only time I can think where Megatron's "team" outnumbered was BM Megatron's Vehicons
i think the deceptions usually have the advantage over autobots in number
You are both incorrect. In almost every continuity the Decepticon forces are outnumbered by or at best equal to the Autobots. The movies and Beast Machines are the only times the Decepticons have had a larger army.
if they were at best equal then how come they were outnumbered by insecticons in g1?
I think in fiction it's often implied, or at least the writers/directors TRY to give the impression, that the Decepticons have a massive force. Often this is accomplished by having lots of "Cannon fodder" clones/recolors/generics. (See G1 and Movie, especially)
However, because of the way toy-sales work, the good guys will ALWAYS be given a great number more "Named Characters," as heroes tend to shift more plastic.
technically the insecticon clones don't count
I'd have to go back and check but just the other day I watching the G1 DVD for the funny mistakes in the animation and I was thinking gee the Decepticons were pretty out numbered back then. Oh and it seems like in Animated it was always one or two Decepticons against the team of five Autobots.
I think Destrongerlupus hit the nail on the head that good guys move more plastic than the bad guys.
I'm pretty sure in RiD that the Autobots outnumbered the Preds and the Decepticons. You had Prime, the Autobot bros., the Spychanger team, the bullet train trio, Ultra Magnus, the build team against Megatron, three useless Preds and a haiku-reciting Skybyte, Scourge and his Decepticons.
Prime and Magnus, 3 car brothers, 6 Spychangers, 4 Build Team Bots, 3 Train Bots, 2 Flip Changers, and Fortress Maximus. 21 Autobots.
Megatron, Skybyte, the moron trio, Scourge, and the 5 Combaticons. 11 Decepticons. They were outnumbered nearly 2 to 1.
5 Autobot Headmasters, 3 Targetmasters, 7 Trainbots, 2 clones, Metroplex, and 9 other regular bots. 26 Autobots
4 Decepticon Headmasters, 3 Targetmasters, 2 Horrorcons, 2 Clones, 2 Duocons, Trypticon, and 5 other regulars. 19 Decepticons.
Masterforce actually has more Decepticons then Autobots, but not by many.
Victory is even.
33 Autobots vs 10 Decepticons. Outnumbered more then 3 to 1.
6 main Maximal cast, 6 Insectrons, 3 for Tripredicus, 3 for Magnaboss, 1 extra cast member. 19.
6 main Predacons, 4 Autorollers, 5 for God Neptune. 15.
15 Maximals vs 11 Predacons
7 Maximals vs 4 Vehicon commanders at the end of the show.
9 main Autobots vs. 7 main Decepticons.
22 Autobots vs 16 Decepticons. (There were 17 Decepticons, but Shockblast died and was replaced by Sixshot, keeping the number of soldiers the same.)
22 Autobots vs 14 Decepticons
33 On screen main Autobots vs 25 on screen main Decepticons. Usually 5 on 1 or 5 on 2.
With the exception of Masterforce, every TF series the Decepticons lack a numerical advantage.
Ya, it seems there are always more Autobots than Decepticons in a given multiverse (except as someone mentioned, in the Bayverse).
I read somewhere (maybe the TF wiki?) that generally there are more Autobots but that Decepticons in general were larger and stronger, somewhat evening things out.
