Yes, but it's usually just me talking to myself.

Well at a time when I was in middle school few people laughed. All my friends now think it cool especially my best friend she thinks it's the coolest hobby ever.

I don't have much of a social life, so there's no one to criticize me.

Some of my family used to, but I don't spend that much money on them, so nobody really cares.

No, I was full grown in 1985 when I started collecting Transformers.

Also, they've been telling me to stop buying them since I turned 14, 5 years later, my collection still grows.

Same here. I only started collecting figures (mostly Star Wars) again this time last year after not having bought a figure since I was, oh, maybe 10. I was kind of embarrased at first, but it's gotten better.

I think my most people think I'm just buying a gift for some one (I often hear "Want a gift reciept?"). Still, some cashiers look at me like I'm a bad person or something. Oh well, I'm happy, and that all that matters.

In the beginning, I copped a little bit of it - from my old man in particular. Since then I've re-directed all my packages to my P.O. Box (so no one knows just how much I'm buying these days... :lol ) & now everything's sweet-as.

No but my girlfriends aware I get carried away and am prone to buyers remorse if I get too much in a short amount of time.... Not that I'll listen to reason when I'm like that but she does try.

I came out of the collecting closet to my parents, expecting the worst, and my mom thought it was cool. She said "hey you can pass your toys onto your kid when he/she is (born soon) old enough to enjoy them." I said no, those are mine for daddy's special room. I will buy them their own :p  Upon that, she led me to tupperware boxes full of MISB toys I kept sealed from my childhood. What kind of a crazy kid does MISB...

I got an eye roll, but support.

Edit: My MISB toys were all spawn, the big (barbie doll like) GI Joe/Star Wars exclusives, WWF toys, etc from the last 90's. All my G1/2, BW, zords had to be opened and played with :p

Same here but if I am asked about it if in any case anyone did know that I collect I would tell them. My parents don't know that I collect and am still not going to tell them cause they would be furious at me about it and think its stupid. My brother knows as well as his kid but she thinks its cool but brother thinks I should sell it and get mega bucks from what hes thinking I could get since I have g1's in my collection.

Lets just say anyone who does doesn't live to much longer afterwards! :ev:

Kidding of course, but no-one has ever told me to grow up. Other than collecting Transformers, my parents see me as very responsible and mature for my age. Some of my friends think it's a little weird, but don't really care too much either. If anything, I'm more mature than a lot of them.

At the worst, I've been told to watch my spending and not to use all the money I earn on Transformers, but everyone's pretty cool about my hobby. Sometimes my friends do try to take an interest in them too, which is cool of them.

In my younger days (19-21) people did, now they leave me alone because they're all afraid of me :)  (not really but they leave me alone)

I'm very lucky in that my family not only doesn't give me any flack for collecting but also encourages it. My wife, bless her, keeps me on the straight and narrow and stops me from going completely overboard.

My parents never really care about me collecting anything and then when me and my fiance meet she didn't care. I honestly thought eventually she would but we are almost about to get married, and she still calls me when she is in the toy aisle without me lol. Now my friends on the other hand somewhat still don't get it. But oh well as long as i am still fueling my plastic addiction i'm happy.
