I don't count this as a Christmas haul because its obviously not what I think the holiday is about, but its more of an attempt to restore the magic of my childhood Christmas (i.e. waking up to a nice haul from Santa). So yeah, this is my second year of trying this, and I started a little bit earlier than last time (right after the fall semester started). The last TRANSFORMER I opened was Universe Sideswipe several months ago, and other than that the only plastic crack I've popped open are some McFarlane Halo exclusives I picked up in stores or Ebay, but only just to make sure their joints weren't broken or anything (shit's expensive, didn't want to wait till NOW to see if I need to be looking for a replacement or not!). So here's what I've saved up over the last couple of months- Also, because I wouldn't be able to get through this pile without 'em, my trusty pair of scissors- Been looking forward to tomorrow for a long time, family AND toys on the side, merry Christmas all!
Whoa ho ho... looks like X-mas is gonna be a good one for ya Grats on having the willpower to wait. Hopefully you find it was all worthwhile.
nice... take ur time opening em.. i find it tiring sometimes, when i get too many at once n try to open em together... takes the fun away and i end up irritated.. lol
Yeah, that was probably the hardest part, the damn waiting. Good test of patience but I kept trying to think of excuses to open things in my head, didn't do it though. Probably won't have time tomorrow, but I'll get through some of it at least! Oh yeah, not going to rush this, gonna savor every last bit!
Its a nice haul. But I feel its a small considering the amount of time you put into it. (september??!) Myself I have to grab something for my transformers addiction 2+ times a week. Still kudos for finding the exclusives. Those were a lot of work for me, especially the k*mart minicons. Merry Christmas.
hope you have fun, but I tells ya man, that can really bite you in the ass. I just encountered the second time where I've waited more than a few days to open something and the item inside was defective. I hope that doesn't happen to you.
Impressive haul if it wasn't for all those legends\activators\bumpers\minicons stuff. Was never into them to begin with. Will be doing the same thing from now on, more or less. I would feel really cheated had I bought Ani Leader Megs + Bulkhead for near 100 USD from BBTS and then stumbled upon the 16 USD sale of amazon.
Now the real question: Do you take the time to wrap all of them individually or just put them in a big box and wrap that? I would wrap them all individually, mainly because it adds to the surprise factor of which one you get, granted, it would be a cumbersome task wraping all of that.
I get the same excitement out of helping my kids open their toys nowadays (Not to mention I lack the willpower to wait for MY toys)
Nice haul! Also an excellent display of willpower! I usually sit in the store parking lot and open mine!
