He was talking about the robot masters mold that was rereleased in 2014

That one was so close to being good. If only some unscrupulous company would do a KO of him at about Universe Sunstreaker/tall deluxe size.

I feel like the FOC and thrilling 30 lines were an excuse to test the waters with lots of stuff, 1st proper g1 style combiner, headmaster, targetmaster, g1 triple changer, BW figures and Armada figures in years. I feel like more BW and Armada figures are on the way since they've pretty much devoted 3 lines to all the rest of the gimmicks.

It's not a good figure? What, is it too small or something? I still want it.

It’s smaller than deluxe but bigger than scout. That’s the biggest downside

Oh, it probably scales well with the CHUG deluxe dinobot and megatron but I agree, that's a bit small. It would look ridiculous with the thrilling 30 rattrap of it's smaller.

you can upgrade this figure to infinity and beyond, but it still doesn't compare to Beast Gorira

While this is true it's still probably less than half the price with the upgrade.

isn't the reissue of Beast Gorira like 125? POTP Optimal Optimus is like 52 if you get him in the store and you include tax (a little more if you include the gas you used to get there and if you got him at target or Walmart, you probably bought something else that you may not have needed), the addon set is 30-50. Then you have to have the proper tools to modify him and use your time. So to lowball the POTP with updates, you're spending a minimum of 82, probably closer to 90. I'd rather spend an extra 35 bucks + 4 bucks shipping from BBTS to get a figure I'll love instead of 1/3rd less to get a figure I tolerate.

Not should it, that’s like comparing the bad cube red alert to universe red alert

    Try $170

I thought the beast gorira was like $175 but I only looked on admittedly pricey sites.

I could be wrong about my claim of 125. basically I just want to reinforce that, no matter what upgrades are made for POTP Optimal Optimus, it will still leave me not loving it

That’s fine, that just means this figure isn’t for you, but even with upgrades it’s still much cheaper than gorira which is an attractive prospect to some (and trust me, I have the gorira prime version of the pe figure, it’s great, but Potp primal is meant to scratch a different itch if that makes sense)

Here\'s my custom idea: if you don\'t like the gap in gorilla mode and the backpacks for both robots you can do a simple custom. You must have 2 Primal figures (only Primal, not Optimal). One Primal will transform in that hoverboard and the other is the key. You have to remove his backback and put it in Optimal and that\'s it. You have a Gorilla without that big hole, Optimal and Primal without that backpack and a Primal for transformation

Cool stuff. DNA is a trustworthy company when it comes to upgrades and this surely won’t disappoint. Hopefully it’s not too expensive.

So the front wheel definitely partsforms. That kinda bites, but considering it’s a partsformer already, I guess I can forgive that.

At least it’s clever with what it can do.
