That's like comparing apples to oranges.

I said MASTERPIECE, not toy. Prime is far better than he is, as is Magnus, but that's the Prime mold. Megatron looks amazing, and far better than Starscream.

Starscream has weak plastic, no good accessories, and looks like he puked all over himself.

MP Prime looks like garbage in alternate mode, not masterpiece level at all. Only the robot is, but then I've seen deluxe toys that were as good. Die-cast is not everything you know. Starscream has a realistic alternate mode, something Prime cannot claim and SHOULD have claimed at that price point. Missed opportunity.

    ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

MP-Prime's Alt. Mode is way beyond accurate for a COE Truck.

Whatever. I have better things to do than argue with you.

    I disagree.

I like MP Prime's alt-mode, it looks like an amalgamation of several different flat nosed trucks and has this almost "retro" vibe to it.

The only real problem I have with it are the tires being too small.

And the legs and waist being totally visible. The original G1 Prime looks better and tighter in alternate mode.

I don't have a problem with the rest of it. :D

Ok. Now you're just being flat out ridiculous.

    Comparing G1 to MP? No.

Yes sir, go back to your shelves and compare. MP Prime looks pathetic in cab mode for the price. Admit it, you haven't transformed your MP Prime for a long time, right? You probably forgot how bad it looks in cab mode.

I can't think of any way for the legs to be any more realistic and still be reminiscent of the original.

Maybe make the feet tuck into the leg more to make the back end flat, and then give it a bumper and fifth wheel, but other than that, I don't see how it could happen.

    And in this corner...

I actualy gotta say I (oh God) agree, with onesock on this. Mp Convoy is not way better, but still superior to MP03. Plus, MP03 is just tiny, and those "samurai swords" on his hips are too kibbly.

Mp Convoy's vehicle mode is gorgeous, he has real head and tail lights, and detailed cab front and back. And the windsheild slops back too! Just like G1 show Convoy.

Not any more quibbly than a pair on wings on the back. If you wanna see real quibble, have a look at movie Blackout. He's carrying half of a chopper on his his (huntch)back. As for Prime, for sure he won't have quibble, he's just a rolling cube.

Well you'd be wrong! I just got him Friday, and I've transformed him atleast 3 times today! :p

And since we're at it on the truck modes...

    - MP actually has headlights, not fist holes.
    - Show accuracy never hurt anyone.
    - Suspension, ftw.
    - Tail lights that look real. What? G1 Prime's were STICKERS?!

    That's good enough for me.

I was refering to the fact G1 SS never had the "swords" on his hip.

How does movie Blackout fit into all this?

Kibble is fine as long as you're not going for show accuracy, whick is what Masterpeice is all about, making detailed show accurate toys from G1.

You complain about quibble, that's how it fits into all this. MP SS never intended to be a mirror of G1 SS, he's just a modern reinterpretation.

I transform mine all the time, and the cab mode is far more detailed than G-1's cab.

And for the record, I have a G1 on the cabinet adjacent to my Alts and classics, MP is worlds better.

Kibble on certain figures is fine, but when a figure is supposed to be an accurate representation of G1, it becomes an issue.

You can't compare a movie character to a G1 character.

Wow! You just proved yourself wrong!

MP Prime isn't a mirror of G1 Prime, just a modern representation. Thank you!

Except that MP Prime doesn't even look like something you would see on the streets while MP definitely looks like a realistic jet.

It never intended to be, only die-hard fan wishful thinking.

The visible waist in cab mode looks terrible. Not mentionning it doesn't have doors or a detailed interior like Alternators costing 1/4 of the price. I'm telling you, MP Prime's waist/legs were badly engineered from the start and now nothing can save them. It's only good for the robot mode. If you like the cab mode, then I'm afraid you have very low expectations when it comes to high-end toys.

Except that MP Prime doesn't look like that at all. Prime doesn't have doors, mirrors, interior, doesn't have 8 tires at the back, no mudflaps, and so on.
