I need a display case that has a footprint of about 2 feet by 2 feet, and stands about 6 feet tall. It should have three displayable sides, and have multiple shelves that can be hight-adjustable.
Need this in order to display a couple of my Transformer figures of various sizes. Where can I find such a case and how much would it cost me?

Are they reasonably priced? I never thought to look there. The cases need to have glass doors that are dust-resistant. Mirrored background would be nice, but not necessary. Lights would certainly be cool.

Ikea has glass ones but they run around 130-150

wood ones are more(real wood and not press board)

Big Lots is kinda hit and miss.

I second the Big Lots idea, they're getting up ther with the furniture.
Ikea probably has the best selection, but a little pricey.
Try some local flea markets, ones around here have tons of cabinets.

Or get some lumber and make some. Tons of carpentry guides on youtube.

I'm embarrassed to say I'm not much of a handy-man at all. :(
I don't even know when/where our local flea-markets are in Colorado Springs.

What's the dimensions of that display case? I'm looking for 2x2 feet footprint and about 6 feet high.

i wish i could find old store display cases. i am always finding myself in restaurants and other mom and pop places with incredible cases- huge jewelry cases, old school trophy cases, etc.- and when i ask where they stumbled upon em, they give the lame answers.

in other words, you won't find something that good. lol.

but i still look for them.

as for finding a good case meeting the OP's requirements, other than IKEA, not too sure about finding glass cases like those.

I have a Detolf and I love it. I'm going to get two more when I move into my new apartment in a few months.

The Detolf is ideal. My huge 100+ TF and other figures collection that was spread throughout my room was stuffed into that shelf. Plus it displays real nice.

It's not quite up to your given dimensions though:

    Width: 16 3/4 "
    Depth: 14 3/8 "
    Height: 64 1/8 "
    Max load/shelf: 13 lb

    (from IKEA website)

It might not necessarily have to be 2x2 footprint. But the only space I have available in my bedroom is between my door and my closet and that is 2 feet. My bed is about, maybe 4 feet 4.5 feet away from that wall.
I should probably take some pictures of my room and post them. On either side of my bed I have these, eh, what you call them pillar shelves? Their about 7 feet high have two shelves and two pull out draws. I use one for my cat's things, and the other for junk. I could delete one of those and put a nice display case there.
Right now my entertainment center is slowly becoming crowded and will only get worse as the collection grows! LOL! You've already seen pic's of that in my collection thread. There are some places I don't want to put the TF's because of where my cat crawls. The pillar with the junk is one example. She likes to jump to the very top of it and stare down at me.

Detolfs are the way to go. They just look sooo good. I think they price dropped down to 50 something. Here's my setup.

ikea detolf cases are really the way to go, although they're not dust-proof as they have little in-between spaces on the sides.

There are no IKEA stores anywhere near my area for hundreds of miles. Can you buy online and they deliver? I haven't really checked...

Yeah, they do deliver. Haven't tried that though, since there's an IKEA store only about 25 miles from here.

I can't find any that are two feet wide, though they have a couple that are three feet or so.

I'm considering getting a Klingsbo or two for my collection, since they have a lock.

Got a Detolf recently for my Bama collectibles, love it. Although had to drive out of town to get one - IKEA isnt in Alabama - because shipping is EXPENSIVE.
