not sure if this is the right place but I was just wondering, in 2006 disney fully bought out pixar, in 2008 disney also bought out marvel. I was wondering what disney's next purchase might be (or as I like to say, which company will disney conquer next?),

Corporations aren't spending. The only reason a corporate takeover now would make sense is if Disney has a pile of cash on hand and the company/brand/license/patent they want is really undervalued from the intense selling as of late.

Whatever the next purchase is, they're a year late. According to the pattern, they should have bought out somebody last year.

Disney Label Transformers will see release in America.

And doesn't Disney have the rights to RID in some way or another? At least, that's what I've heard.

... and don't forget in 2004, Disney bought out the Muppets.

Maybe Disney label transformers wouldn't be just some weird japanese thing anymore.

I think it'd be interesting if they did some Cars transformers.

... although I presume they could do that anyway if they wanted to, since they're already ripping off Stealth Force.

(and I hate to say it, but they might be doing a better job of it too)

Disney bought Saban Entertainment IP's when they went tits-up in 2002. Among the shows Saban produced was the RiD cartoon.

Its fun to scoff at high profile multi-national corporations.

    Fight the power and whatnot.

Rumour is they're one of those bidding for HiT Entertainment so properties like Fireman Sam, Bob the Builder and maybe even Thomas the Tank Engine might come under their control.

That's it! Disney will be on my hate list forever if this is true! No one messes with Barney and Postman Pat. They will feel my rage as I post all caps in other forums.

there actually hasn't been much of that in the thread so far.

I don't necessarily see it as a bad thing. Just because Marvel or whatever are owned by Disney doesn't mean they're going to start Disneyfying everything. They won't want to abandon the core audience, since that's part of what they're buying into. And they'll want a return on their investment. Although if at some point they decide they're not going to do any more with a property, then that's that.

This might have happened anyway, although in the past if a producer wanted to get a movie made, they could could option the property and shop it around to all the different studios.

    This.

When Robots in Disguise can out. It tainted the Transformer storyline forever... Reducing a human role like Spike, Carly, and Chip to a full time Daniel. Although I don't hate the level of of using a Viper and a Lamborghini, the Human role in Transformer War have never been the same....:rip

Then Bayverse came and turn Bumblebee to a mute... :thumbdown

All I gotta say, Disney + Transformer = Gobots. Lets keep them separate, "like, forever."

I dont think Hasbro would be stupid enough to sell theyre most profitable franchise.

Disney would murder & mame the franchise and im sure they know it
