Thanks! I wanted to follow the Broadway version for Rafiki to give it another important female character, but I certainly heavily considered Morgan Freeman.
Maybe their animated films are original and even then they have quite a few sequels planned through Pixar and their own animation studio. But nearly every live-action film under the Disney banner is a sequel or remake
Queen of Katwe, Tomorrowland, McFarland USA, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, and Muppets Most Wanted say hi.
Just saw a poster for this, geez, I don't know if I'd let my kid watch this or not, it looks like a horror movie.
Even if it was the poster, I don't see what makes it look like a horror movie. The Lion King had a lot of scary scenes in it, it's a pretty dark film when you think about it.
Pirates of the Carribean 1 Bedknobs and Broomsticks Flight of the Navigator Mary Poppins Old Yeller Davey Crockett Swiss Family Robinson Watcher in the Woods Haunted Mansion Pollyanna original Freaky Friday Iron Will Country Bear Jamboree Besides its hard to call Disney original when so many of their stories are based off fairy-tales and books. An original spin yes, but they didn't pull the likes of Fox and the Hound or The Little Mermaid outta their rear.
Okay so who the hell was I kidding. Leslie Odom, Jr. as adult Simba. Make Shenzi and Banzai Leslie Jones and Kenan Thompson. Wait the writer for Pirates 5 is doing this? Pirates 5 better be damn good.
Live-Action Lion King Movie to Use VR Tech Basically he's saying Avatar and virtual reality/video game tech has made a live-action adaptation of a talking animals feature feasible. I'm sorry Mr Favreau, but I'm rather skeptical about this. You'll just have to prove this will work out.
Well there was Homeward Bound, Hot to Trot, various Benjy and Lassie movies, Two-bit and Pepper, Black Beauty and Eddy Murphy's Dr. Doolittle. I guess it'd be something like that?
