IRON MAN Director Jon Favreau Will Helm A Live-Action Adaptation Of Disney's THE LION KING YES!! YEEEEEEEEEEEES!!!!!
Can't say I'm too surprised. The way the Jungle Book was made did make it possible that a Lion King live action version would be made sooner or later.
OMG for real?! I admit, as the Lion King is my most favorite Disney movie I did wonder how a live action movie would be like or if they will make a live action movie in the first place following their current trend. Guess my wish, I guess is coming true.
I LOVE Favreau's The Jungle Book so I'm looking forward to seeing this. Does Disney only do sequels and remakes though? They're the least creative studio right now
After seeing what he did with The Jungle Book, I have full faith in what he'll do with this. Would be even cooler if they got all the original voice actors back for it.
Um...I thought there weren't humans in The Lion King? Kinda hard to justify calling something 'live action' if humans aren't supposed to be in the story to begin with.
Oh come on, as long as they're doing it in photo realistic way akin to Jungle Book where nothing looks cartoony and they're using some real sets/props, that's still "live action".
I still haven't seen the live-action Jungle Book... or the animated Lion King... but yeah, I'm sure this will be pretty great.
No.... just...... NO! Don't get me wrong I LOVE The Lion King as much as everyone else does it's just that the animated film did it justice and to have it be made into live action just takes the magic away.
