And I mean animated, not CGI. In your opinion which one was it? For me its Lilo & Stitch, after that the remaining cartoon movies that followed before they went CGI were crap.

Then you should mention it as hand-drawn.

I'd have to say TREASURE PLANET. It was a futuristic version of the classic RL Stevenson tale, with some great sci-fi elements thrown in and of course fantastic animation.

I absolutely LOVED The Emperors New Groove. It's fucking hilarious and massively underrated. I don't think Disney audiences were ready for the kind of of 'wacky' stuff that other animation houses put out as the norm...

    The Lion King.

Then until The Princess and the Frog, everything was not enjoyable to me. The only one I still haven't is Lilo & Stitch, and honestly I don't care if I ever do.

I kinda enjoyed Princess and the Frog... but before that I'll say Emporer's New Groove.

The Lion King for me too. It's just a pity it reminds me of Kimba the white lion i.e. not that original in terms of story telling.

I believe even in The Beauty and the Beast they used CGI. So it's a very long time ago that Disney's movies were only hand-drawn.

Sleeping Beauty. An all-time classic, the last of the great ones.

Hard to say since before Princess and the Frog, they haven't made on in a while...maybe Leroy & Stitch or Emperor's New Groove. I don't think any of them are necessariy bad. The animation for the most part is well done, as is the voice acting. Probably an example of one that I didn't like would be Lion King 1 1/2. I didn't say Princess and the Frong because I've only seen bits and pieces of it, so I can't speak for it's quality.

Yeah, the ballroom scene has CGI for the room and I think chandelier. I think there was also a CGI cart at some point too. I remember quite a lot of magazine articles and television pieces at the time going on about the computer effects in the film. I went to the cinema to see that movie and it's still excellent today. I'm a big fan of the animated Tarzan too, which had a load of CGI for the jungle and tree-surfing bits.

I completely agree. I freakin' loved Lilo and Stitch.

That's still my favorite Disney movie of all time, but as far as the LAST good one I've seen...it's gotta be ol' Stitch.

but these movies were still mainly drawn animation with help from CGI; I guess to clarify, we are not counting the movies that are pure CGI like Meet the Robinsons, Bolt, etc..

Lilo and Stitch and Treasure Planet as the most recent. If we're just talking late 1990s early 2000s in general, then I loved Atlantis: The Lost Empire.

CG is still considered animated. Change your wording for the topic to handdrawn.
