Yeah, at this point I'm just going to go ahead and assume there's a live-action remake planned for literally everything in Disney's library. Like any day now we'll hear about how they're going to redo The Black Cauldron, Dinosaur, Steamboat Willie, Chip 'n Dale Rescue Rangers, Bonkers....

Not either/or. I mean every last one of them.

They'd rather another Giant Peach over another TRON?

    Whatever...

I'd rather them spend resources on something else. I love James and the Giant Peach, but the stop motion animated version was just about perfect.

If they make it more accurate to the book and have Wonka's factory in it, I'm cool with that.

I enjoyed the original film very much. It was a Roald Dahl story, but light and soft enough for Disney standards, and had some nice songs too.

I'm curious as to how different and unique this adaptation will be.

I'd be down for a Dinosaur remake! :D  honestly just do a shot for shot remake, keep the original voice work, etc etc. Dinosaur still looks really good even on standard DVD but I would LOVE it with today's CGI, especially after Walking with Dinosaurs and Jurassic World.

And I'm still looking forward to a Lion King remake whenever they make it, after Jungle Book.

I'd prefer they call it "Dinosaur: Special Edition" or something and try to pass it off as a rerelease. If they didn't, Disney might get slammed for treading trodden trails more so than their previous attempts.

I just hope the arthropod characters look hyper-realistic, basically like the Jungle Book, just for the hilarity of a kid nattering to the unholy visage of a fucking centipede and spider and stuff.

I'd hack Rotten Tomatoes and give it 100% and 230 positive reviews even if they didn't. :D  :lol

So far, they made lots of Roald Dahl movies, but still no Twits.

They did a great job with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory as far as translation from page to movie is concerned. It's just that Depp failed to pull off the same charisma as Wilder did.

    Pass.

Depp was so awkward in the role, he was unfunny.
