Boy Killed In Disney Bus Crash Was Riding Bike - Entertainment News Story - WESH Orlando
Because they were beside him on the sidewalk, and the way the article describes, it seems the boy left the sidewalk, pulled up next to the bus, struck it, (wether this means he ran into it, or hit it with his hand is not made clear) and was then pulled under the bus. So it seems to be described as being very quick. It also said the driver stopped immediately, which makes me think he simply did not have time to brake the (large) vehicle until it was, unfortunately, too late.
Oh, I don't know, because the article says the kid struck the side of the bus??? Not that they got run over head on.
Seriously, reading is fundamental. Particularly before you hit "Submit" while trying to be a wiseass.
Guess the OP got...
Wow, the fastest thread winning of all time.
"Damn" - Mike Muir
Ouch! Sorry to hear that.
Though, I have to say... it sounds like the kids riding bikes didn't have an adult with them to make sure that they didn't ride out in front of oncoming traffic and whatnot. If they were supervised by an adult, perhaps this accident would have prevented.
Better actually read the article before you post a thread, Ace.
But yeah, I feel bad for the kid. Kinda sounds like he bit off more than he could chew.
I blame Goofy.
"It's called reading. Top to bottom, left to right . . . a group of words together is called a sentence. Take Tylenol for any headaches, Midol for any cramps."
That poor kids parents, They must feel awful, I can't imagine how it feel's to lose a child, Especially one so young, I guess I should start wearing My helmet now...
I lol'd a lot.
Sad news all around, for the kid's family and the bus driver.
Interesting fact: the kid was wearing a helmet, as stated in the article.
And you (as in people in general) should always wear a helmet when riding a bike, old or young, it's just safer.
Tragic? Yes. Disney's fault? Doesn't appear so. Misleading thread title is misleading.
I know the kid was wearing a helmet, I was saying if I ever get into a minor accident I should be wearing a helmet, I haven't been very good about that lately...
My wife was telling me about this earlier this morning. I actually made her stop in the middle of the story. This accident just all around sucks. Kids should get scrapes and bruises riding bikes, not death. R.I.P. little one.
