Does this mean Disney will make Marvel films from now on??? I shudder to think what that means. *Visions of Musical Marvelites fill head*
It was only a matter of time. Besides, it's not like Warner stuck Bugs Bunny in every frame of the new Batman movies. If anything, this is good for Marvel. They'll actually have some hard money backing them up when they produce stuff. Just look at Hulk Vs compared to Green Lantern: First Flight. There's no comparison.
So... Deadpool is a Disney Character. WAIT... Could tis mean Marvel characters.... and Kingdom Hearts.... EDIT: Anyone up for Beast vs. Beast?
I was a little unsure what to think when I first heard this. But with the size and success of Disney, I'm sure they know not to fuck with what works. Also it gave me an excuse to make a new avatar.
Im....nervous about it. On one hand, incredible money now backs marvel, pixar could make a movie about marvel propierties, and there is the posibility of someone finally getting rid of at least a few of the hack artist and writers at marvel-if only to reduce costs- and as someone said marvel kingdom hearts world xD. on the other hand animated features every year, can run marvel to the ground. and we seen what happened to power rangers.... Im wary.
Disney buys Marvel? Why do I think that it's just wrong for the Mickey Mouse organization to buy Marvel?
how long before we see a sitcom starring a teen spiderman trying to hide his identity from his high school friends, along with a pop music career for the lead actor on the side?
DITTO!!! at first, shock was my reaction, but now it definitely does make sense and could be something that really benefits Marvel, especially in the DTV market...
This could work well for both companies. With Marvels vast properties and Disneys multiple entertainment outlets. My only fear would be that Disney and co. would try to simplify or dumb down some of the greatest of Marvels work. However as of recent Disney seems less concerned about family friendly programming. i.e. Desperate Housewives. The investers seem to be pleased, not surprisingly, as Marvels stock has surged $10 a share. The Toxic Avenger rang the opening bell this morning, or rather some guy hap hazardly dressed as Toxi did.
I'm loosing my mind, I just called all my comic friends and told them, and I started mass hysteria. I am so scared right now I think I'm going to hide in my anti-commie bunker. However if we get all of the marvel cartoons pulled from their current channels and put on the Disney channel then I'd be happy because I could finally see them or a re-run of the old 90's cartoons
The list of the biggest villains in Marvel history just got bigger: Green Goblin Galactus Venom Magneto Doctor Doom .....Mickey Mouse.
