Seeing that WST Tracks really got me thinking. Was Tracks actually designed to have a flying car mode? Many Diaclone cars that predate TFs had wings of some sort, and many of them had no purpose in car mode (Wheeljack, Inferno, Hoist). Doesn't it stand to reason that at least one would turn up that could, by pure chance, sprout some wings in car mode? I mean, it looks pretty awkward, doesn't it? His arms pointing forward like that. So I guess I'm asking - how many people think this was an actual design plan, and how many people think it was a Hasbro invention that just happened to look plausible? I know some people will bring up Overdrive in response to this, but those Omnibot cars all had battle modes of some kind, and I'm not even sure Overdrive was meant to fly either... Downshift sort of had wings too, but they just didn't draw him flying in the air. Maybe they were all just wings meant to stabilize a super-fast car. It's an easy mistake to make - I used to think Topspin was a jet. Diaclones just look jet-like, is all Now anyone with a Diaclone pic of Tracks in flight mode can end this conversation before it begins, but is there such a thing? If not, it sort of proves my theory.
