SO the other day I was playing war for Cybertron when my mom's friend told me thunder cracker was a racist name.

I gave him a look. !Oo! and asked him to explain.
He said the name sounds cruel. It makes a person think that he farts alot. I practically bashed my head against the wall in annoyance with this dude but it got me thinking. Do you guys consider any transformer character or toy discrimitory. I've never heard of such a thing before so I was curious.

Some people say that ROTF Skids and Mudflap are like a couple of uneducated, crass youths from the ghetto.

The Predacons after the Great War are discriminated against. They might be new bots that only came online after the end of the war, but because they wear a Pred badge, they're tarnished with the same brush as the predecessors, even though they didn't have anything to do with the War itself. Much like Germans for the years after WW2.

I always wondered in TF: Cybertron where Thundercracker's dubbed voice had a "Larry the Cable Guy" quality, if they were playing up the last half of his name. :/

It is clear that the proud and glorious Decepticons are being oppressed by the greedy and evil Autobots, and the Autobots themselves made all humans think the Decepticons are evil too! That's discrimination IN Transformers, and the proud and nob....

    sorry, cracked up there myself.

There's actually a few things that's discriminatory, or perhaps sometimes better stated, racially insensitive. Carbomya. Jointrons.

But the name of Thundercracker? Nothing there at all.

In the Armada series, Megatron did start calling Thrust "squid-head" starting in episode 30-something and stuck to that idea.

There's not any racism in Transformers.

Casey Kasem has always seemed like a whiner to me.

If he loves his culture so much why did he change his name?

    ^

A celebrity changing his/her name has nothing to do not loving his own culture.
