Sweet, but I still wish it had new wings.

With the quality of this one, the others will probably be pretty impressive. I guess I'll just get the whole set once they're available on the TFCC site. These look like they'll be worth it.

I think we will be seeing remolded wings on Thrust. I think that is why Dirge isn't remolded - to keep the tooling costs down, if they can get away without remolding Dirge, they will to give us new wings on Thrust.

I'm pretty optimistic that this is what will happen. Although, I'd settle for a conehead body and Starscream wings if necessary.

That's worth the wait but would be worth the money if they did something different with the wings. I'll still get it though

That looks mind bogglingly great as Dirge. No remolding necessary in my opinion.

Wow, $250 is WAY too much for these. I don't care if they are repaints or have some new molds applied, that's $50 a figure. I love the classics line and hope that Hasbro themselves will continue it b/c I'm not gonna pay $50 for repaints of Starscream and Thrust when those figures cost me $10 from Wal-Mart when I bought them.

If these are so expensive to buy how can it cost so much to remold the wings? I mean look at the profit they will get for these. I wont buy a set I cant afford.

Well Done! Can't wait for the others.
Thanks for making my whole week Pete!
I am in for a set. My only regret is that I can barely afford only one.

i disagree, i dont think dirge can get away with this....

thats how i feel...dirge has always been my favorite seeker, and though alot of people think his wings are the same as ramjets, they just arent...so while this lack of remolding has possibly helped keep thrusts wings like g1, i am bummed.....but, im still buying the set, regardless...ill get over it...someday

YES! Just a repaint! I'm feeling better about NOT buying this set. I mean the figure looks AMAZING, and I wish I could own it. But I think I'm just gonna kitbash my own set.

Maybe I'll still buy the set...

I've always thought, exclusive or not, that Dirge would just be Ramjet repainted, so I'm neither surprised nor disappointed, 'cause it looks fantastic. Thrust on the other hand...VTOL FTW.

Whoa, Dirge a thing of beauty to behold.

I'm fine with Dirge using the existing Ramjet mold. The cost to make such a minor molding change for Dirge wings is better used somewhere else.

Like Thrust for instance. He has a much more distinct look to him. I would be very surprised if he did not receive new tooling, especially since most of these set pieces are presumably going to use existing head sculpts.

If the rest of the 2007 figures are this good, this Classics set may even eclipse last year's Beast Wars set.

I'm talking myself into buying another Ramjet to repaint. Can't spend $350 on a set of 5 figures. It's just not right.

You're right, the more I think about it, his wings absolutely should have been remolded so that they were the correct representation of the character. Especially for the price being charged for these figures.

Wasn't it Pete or Aaron Archer who said that we all know what the respective differences of the 'cone head' Seekers are, obviously in reference to their wings, and that we will see those differences applied to the toys? Or something like that? I can't remember the exact quote, but definitely remember it being said to quell concerns about these characters just being straight repaints of Ramjet... which is exactly what Dirge just turned out to be.

I really hope they don't drop the ball on Thrust - not after paying what some of just did for these exclusives.

i hate to say it, but without the remolded wings ... this just isn't as special.

I hope a good kitbasher mass commissions for less.

Snazzy repaint...but for nearly five times the retail price I really wanted some remolded wings, or at least weapons :(

Nice repaint. Dirge and Ramjet always had relatively similar wings, so I can live with this. Not that I need to, of course, as I'm not plunking down $300+ for this set.

While I'd love to have a complete set of Classics Seekers, I can't justify spending so much on a set of figures that shouldn't cost more than $100.

I'll just have to make my own, I guess.

No great surprise on the wings, but the added white/red details on the edge are a nice touch.

    Thrust is at retail?

Because tooling a new mold costs thousands of dollars.

If you have some figures to share, i'm sure i wouldn't be the only person who would like to see them.
