Sorry havent posted here for a while. I have update these on a few forums and now finally getting around to posting here. I have a few other WIPs to share with you.

Wow! Very nice! Probably the only thing about this guy I don't like is that most of Grimlock's T-Rex mode is sticking out of the chest like a hood ornament. If it could be compresed so it doesn't stick out so much it would look even better.

Frenzy, thats awesome... I am really glad you got a commission on this. Is that the work you are doing with Sab??? Great stuff .. I knew that Sab was working on Grimlocks and she got a MP to do and seeing yours recently, that would just be awesome. If it is, the commissioner must be sure lucky.

 

No, something different. A straight commission from a fellow board member. I plan to make 3 simultaneously though....1 for ME TO KEEP (no way~!)

These dinos are very expensive though....

 

Nice. Your best work to date. The new head works better than the old. My only gripe is that it looks too much like Swoop's head. Perhaps you were going for that look. But I think something that looks more like Grimlock's head would work better. 1. because Grimlock is the main bot and 2. because Grimlock's head looks more menacing. My suggestion would be to use the same starscream head but give it a mouthplate with simulated teeth (like War Within Grimlock or the Energon dino combiner head). You can even add 2 horns on the side or 1 horn in the center of the forehead to give it an even more menacing look, but personally I would just stick with the mouthplate with teeth.

 

So...shiny! Gold and silver chrome and paint everywhere!

Pretty good combiner result. Do you use magnets to keep the Dinobots in place?

 

It looks really cool, but at the same time it's pretty busy.

This is excellent, a really great combiner. I actually like both heads you've used. The Dinobot colour scheme just works brilliantly combined; overall it also seems a pretty busy, intricate design, which I love - looks more "assembled" and complete, in a way that the official combiners never really did. Both that, and the way Grimlock's alt mode leaps out of the chest, give this tons of character, very aggresive.

Viagra Prime - thanks man. This was my first Gestalt attempt so therefore, it was really interesting to do and something I have always wanted. The head, I did intentionally make it look like a swoop. The bulk of the body already seemed like a heavy and Bulky Gestalt, therefore, I wanted to depict that this gestalt still had speed. So I chose to use Swoop style head so that he can still come across as a smart, and speedy looking Gestalt as opposed to the less intelligent Grimlock, although I do love him the most. Thanks for the comment though, and I have tried something mean looking like the Megatron head with teeth and that did not sit well at all.

Bruticus82 - thanks. He is bright. I wanted to capture the true essence of G1 dinobots and not change too much of the colour scheme and let it blend.

autobotx23 - thanks man. The grimmy head, doesnt hurt to try but see my reasonings above for what I chose. Hope that satisfies.  

Bumblebee92- Thanks. Yes, they uncombine. Each of the Dinobot though has had added attachments except for Grimlock. I wll take individual bot pics soon.

Shelfwarmercon - no, I dont use magnets. These are combined by adding new parts that clips into position and are strong so they dont fall out when moved.

Satomiblood - thanks. It is busy, but I didnt want to mod too much off the G1Dinobots and try to combine based on the base figures.

kaindarkstar87 - Yes, there are 2 slags. The reason is that this gestalt benefits from having an extra bot. If we only had 5, then I think this will turn out to look quite bland.

Rijie78 - Thanks very much for the comment and glad you like them. thats one of the things I spent most time with which was not to add any chest plates etc that would take it away from true G1 style so Grimlock although wasnt used as the head, meant that he still stands as the leader of the pack by being the top part of the main body.

Thanks. I will keep working on customs and hope that it would receive this warm welcome. Thanks for any critique and I will always take those on board for customs. Feel free to give further suggestions.

 

This is not a true combiner. It just dinobots of top of plastic.

Its nice and all but to me its not a true combiner. Now voltron is a combiner. Each lion form a body part. This you have dinobots of top of legs and arms. I like the head on this.
