Thanks to KO Toys. https://www.kotoys.com/forum/index.php/topic,1715.330.html
First! Also, those are pretty cool.
wow can't believe this is happening.
On the one hand, I really would like those dinocassettes.
On the other hand, I would have to deal with KO Toys, and I'm not really in the mood to support them.
He's a member here and an all around class act. He usually gets everything KOToys gets with good prices and no hassle.
Yay! Thank you sir ^_^
Yeah, I mean, it might have been inevitable, but that's how I feel, too.
Does anyone feel sorry for the guy that bought 2 of the AFA Dinocassettes for $5000?
For people who aren't liking the release of these, can I ask what the big deal is?
I'm newer to collecting, so I'm being serious.
Was there a price announced?
For the Dinosaur Cassettes, they were releasetowards the end of G1 in Japan only and are super ultra mega rare. For a pair of them, the highest AFA graded ones sold for $5000. The BeastBox and SquawkTalk figures aren't as rare and you will be able to find them on eBay.
^IRRC these are pretty expensive and super-rare. The 4 Dino cassettes are considered the grail of grails of vintage collecting. so yeah, these fetch premium prices- read at least..a whopping $1,500 EACH and are just Mint In Box and not sealed specimens. Personally, the KO makers have defiled and desricrated the sacred exclusiveness of these rare toys and done something which will piss off the hard-core G1 fans who bought the originals.

Edit: *Just saw those cheap looking KO's and personally I wouldn't touch them with a ten foot pole. Just want to know the reactions and ideas of those who own the original 4 Dino-cassettes?
I used to feel this way...then I accepted the fact that these are what they are. Display pieces, nothing more. Come to the dark side...we have cookies. And affordable replicas of Dino cassettes.
So, basically, people are mad because theirs aren't as valuable in a money sense anymore?
^No, dude, that's not the real and absolute reason. IRRC, it's the exclusivity and the sheer amount of it being a hard-core collectors' blood, sweat and sacrifice ....preserverence for being able to get them all in a set, dead mint. Im sorry if you feel that G1 vintage collectors are all like that when they are i can assure you--not at all..Money and value for resale is the last thing on their minds, believe me.
They can dance around the issue, but I would say most are pissed because their 'investments' just went way down.
@Paladine: This. Pitchforks and torches, ahoy! I being a G1 vintage nut really got my blood boiling because of this farcical turn of events.
I'm a bit confused as to why they would bother making Beastbox, Squawktalk, Glandslam, and Raindance. Those four are anything but rare, and a very good condition set, mint or nearly so, is normally less than the cost of the high-end bootleg tape pairs.
I want them. But they better not be all expensive and shit..
