Still a better name than Slag. If BW Dinobot was on the list I'd vote for him since he's a more interesting character than any of the G1 Dinobots...

Well the problem is that slag unfortunately has... another meaning, but that's obviously not the one they were going for. Most characters names in Beast Wars weren't very creative...

No, I just remember reading about that somewhere before... Yeah, I almost wish the writers could have given the original characters new names but they had to go with whatever crappy names the toys got... At least we got some cool names such as Quickstrike later on though.
Grimlock is what I think of when I hear dinobot. He's got leadership, he's got character, and he's a robotic T-Rex. The win is astounding.
