Getting an updated set of dinobots has always been a dream for me. As a kid i had Grimlock and never found the others. I always wanted the others and now that Power of the Primes is giving them to me I wanted more....Dinobots. Since I planned on G1ing the POTP dinos that left an opportunity to take these not so G1 deco'd dinos and do something. So without further delay...

    Dinobot Trample!

Dinobot Trample is a tweak of Snarl. When i had him in hand it just came to me.

I kept most of Snarl what he was and modded the head and repainted it.

Not much of a difference from Snarl

Trample is an elephant type of dinobot. The back story I'm going with is that he's named Trample because of his enormous weight. He's the heaviest dinobot and when he gets to running he tramples down everything in his path, rumbling the ground below. Any decepticon that gets in his way is bond to end up trampled.

The only mod i did here was remove the moving scales, repainted the head which is now the tail and got rid of the eye and painted the detail part on the tail to make eyes.

I dunno i just think it works. I considered removing the scales on the trunk but I like it. Probably would make him look less Snarly (haha snarly man, so friggin 80's right there)

And a group shot with the others. I think he fits in nicely.

I could have done more but I dunno, i just like it for what it is. Simple, easy and it just feels right to me and at the end of the day that's what it should be about.

Let me know what you think and hopefully inspires you do make some custom dinos of ur own.

    Next up paddles....when he dries.

Intereseting. I want a complete dinobot team but I really like FOC Gridlock and Sludge is one of the very few cases of scale that bothers me so I might do this as the fourth limb for my team.

I don't know why, but I felt that he is going to be named Stampede after reading his bio. Then I've read the title.

That looks awesome. We could always use more Dinobots (please make a secondary Dinobot team...)

Definitely a.... wierd dinobot, but still cool nonetheless.
(What dinosaur did you base him off of? I'm definitely curious.)

Might I suggest Grimstone? I think you can find a digibash of him online.

none really. i mean everyone thinks mammoth when u think of an elephant dino but i didnt have any specific one in mind. i knew i wanted to make another set and when i had snarl in hand i saw those molded details and i just saw an elephant. It was originally going to be an armadillo type by shortening the scales but i decided i really liked this cuz it was just too original (and less work lol).

I dont want to give up too much info right now but grimstone was one i was considering, as well as skar and strafe (not from swoop, probably). I will say the plan right now is to NOT have grimlock as the body for the combiner. I just need to find another newly released torso to convert.

Neat. Have you considered painting the two large remaining scales on his back silver to look more like ears?

Possibly Hun-gurrr would work for a torso, since dragon is sorta like a dinosaur. You could also look into Cutthroat for Strafe, maybe.

Or, Hun-Grr as Strafe, The IDW one that turns into a 2-headed dino.

I think that the easiest thing to do to make him really stand out as an elephant would be to give him the large ears and some tusks. You could also do away with the original mold's dino head and get rid of the scales. Otherwise the concept is decent.
