So we all know that Bumblebee and Powerglide found Dinobot Island. But ever wonder where or why there were Dinosaurs in the modern world of Transformers in the 80's?

Look no further than GI Joe episode Primordial Plot! Cobra is basically stealing dino dna, and makes a bunch of dinosuars on this island out in the middle of nowhere! Flint, Scarlett, and Gung Ho go foil the plan, but at the end, they just leave the dinos on the island and say they are leaving....

Who knew a few months/ years later that the Dinobots would take up residence there.

Crazy huh? I love Joe/ TF crossover stuff.

Eh, it's fun and all, but it's not one of the REAL crossovers - in Transformers, Dinobot Island is a genuine time anomaly surrounded by chronal radiation that disrupts the fabric of space and time when tampered with, not an ordinary island populated by genetically-engineered creatures. Don Glut just really loved dinosaurs.

But it would have been a perfect candidate for a dino-dumping ground after that GI Joe episode.

Hector Rameriez should have done a documentary on the island.

Never thought about it being a crossover, but, I could see it. Been a while since I've seen that episode of G.I. Joe, so thanks for the link!
