    Ok,

THis may be a real stuip idea, But never the less this idea for a dinner / casino night may be the best for botcon 07.

With the show being in the MIddle of summer. How about we just have 1 of the larges out door pinics on the east coast.

Have Potatoes salad, Cole Slaw, Pasta salad, Chicken, Hot Dogs, and Burgers, Pork BBQ. Then have cookies, and cake.

They could have some of the games and a buffet line outside, and some games and another buffet line inside.

Let If anyone else thinks this idea would work let's hear it. AND maybe we could get FP to have it this way

From what I heard, any idea where they had enough food for everyone is a good idea.

I like the idea of a huge BBQ, but last year in TX would have been the place to have that. Perhaps with a few more new england type thing such as a big ol' pot of Clam chowder and lobsters!

that would be a good idea, but Not sure how much a clam bake would run everyone, and I do not think a lot of people would be happy with an all seafood buffet

    Dudes.
    It's MONTHS away still. :lol

Trying to organise anything with this group more than a couple of hours in advance is pretty useless. It was more like "what are we doing tonight? I have no idea, lets go somewhere with food and drinks" and thus we just wandered around until we did.

I'd say just chill, and we'll see what's up when we actually get there.

They should just give everyone vouchers for a local place, and then have an awards meeting afterwards.

Let's wait and see first what Hasbro and FP have planned. We don't even know the details yet :lol

You never know they might just provide vittles for those at the advance screening

Most clam bakes in New England now days include a hearty helping of Kielbasa :rock

The vegans can have potatoes and onions.

And with this crowd, lots of booze :drunk

yea, I did not think that made the hotel staff happy, cleaning up all the empty beer bottles and cans. That seam to be one the tables pf each floor. But then I just that what happens when the beer store is just a block away.

Maybe next year they will have a cross the street.

I miss the sit-down semi-formal. It was my only excuse to wear a suit most years. Also, having the dinner catered, with your selection made when you register, meant that everyone got something they could eat, everyone got enough food (a reasonable portion), and there was enough FOR everyone, nothing running out. Sitting down to a fancy catered meal of good retauraunt quality and being waited on by attentive staff is not something that happens in my normal life, nor I suspect in that of most fans.

While I'm at it, could we have some freaking soda selections without paying a cash bar $2 for a half a can? I mean, c'mon, the stuff is at least as cheap as tea.

Hell, I'd have been happy to have somewhere to sit down. We had to leave and go to the food court of the hotel to find a seat. It was cool though. We got to hang with Scott McNeil again. I have to agree about the comments about having enough food for everyone too. My son didn't even get any cake. NO CAKE!!!

Yes. Knives, tables, and even something as simple as glasses for water would have been nice.

The BBQ idea isn't bad but I'm wondering if it can be catered. I don't see FP doing it themselves.

However, with that said, Hasbro needs to fill a pinata with exclusive new minicons and stuff and we all have to whack with with a stick!

    There ya go!

And one lucky pinata is fully of beer!
