I've always thought that Energon Inferno looks a lot like Ironhide, and after reading WW I thought so even more. Before I take 'em under the knife I wanted to see the potential results.

Hey... my E. Inferno is already more or less at this stage... I just want to make the vehicle mode a little more natural, like maybe an earth delivery truck or somethign. :)

maybe I'll post a pic later tonight...

Wouldn't that defeat the purpose of doing a war within IH? Or are you just making an updated Ironhide?

I did the exact same thing to mine, except I painted the black arms red so the vehicle looks right.

The latter, yes... just making my own Ironhide.

It's funny, Ironhide would actually make a lot of sense as a firetruck... he even has his "water gun" (as he calls it)... his liquid nitrogen sprayer.

But somehow it just seems sort of wrong (stepping on Inferno's toes a bit?). I figured that an innocuous delivery truck would work fine for him.

My idea is to try to

A.) Have the head on a panel and flip down into the cab
    or
B.) If A fails in any stage, lop off his 'ead and attach with rare earth magnets(I really have nothing against a parts-former, to a degree).

    ;)

For the record, once the antennae are lopped off, the head fits just fine into the gap between the arms and legs...

It does? I've been trying to get it to fit on mine, and it just won't quite fit. The side antennae are chopped clean off and everything. Weird.

Ah, I think I know what it is, I remember now. I did have to trim out some plastic in the back of the shoulders, near the screwholes.
Fold the head up and try to close the arms over it, you should see where it needs to be trimmed.

This looks like a good idea and tempted to do the same.

I already made an E Ironhide from E Towline though.

I did that one a long time ago. I always liked the idea of modding inferno, instead of repainting towline. The body just really works for ironhide. I'm working on a ratchet right now from the same mold.

Hey guys, big thanks to Laser Optimus who hooked me up with an E. Inferno and E. Downshift. So classics/WWI Ironhide and classics wheeljack(with SMOG's kick ass mod) are on deck!

Hey swampflight, I'll see what I can do for ya in my spare time.
