The very demeaner in which this movie was released is just as sloppy as it's editing/storytelling job. And I honestly hope the US version isn't the finished one because it seems to be the most broken.

    Any specifics?

This whole thing is so baffling, it's one thing to cut out a bunch of stuff but to ship out different versions? It's so unprofessional. It's embarrassing.

Time constraint is the problem here. Digital copies were provided to certain countries prior to the final cut was done. If I recall correctly, this is the first time it happened in the movie franchise. It's clear that unfinished versions had gone to countries which showed the movie earlier.

Then it's a good thing my country didn't show it before the 23. of June, as by what I've heard the final version contains, my country got it. :)

I had wondered if they are going to release a "Director's Cut" for BluRay

Honestly it would be a real shot in the foot if there wasn't going to be an extended cut. What's telling is that Fast 8 even has an extended home release so I expect the same of this movie.

The REAL question is just how much of robot screentime/fights did they cut? If 40 minutes was cut and there's considerable amount of robot screentime in there it'll be even more confusing for me as to why they'd spend the time and money animating the CGI sequences only to be completely cut out. It would also make me wonder how ILM feels about it.

Yeah, some con in a very Soundwave-y voice is heard saying something along the lines of "Yes! I have lived to see the life drained from Unicron!" or something like that. It's wierd, because neither Megatron, Barricade, or Nitro Zeus sound like this but they were the only ones present. You kinda briefly hear Megatron with this voice for a moment before he says "I activate this portal!"

Megatron asked Barricade to do that sometimes. It's so soothing and it reminds him *hic* *hic* of Soundwave.

    I'm hoping for a 'Michael-Bay-Not-Involved-With-The-Editing Cut' version.

So they just finished editing the movie in the last day? Omg that was probably in a huge rush. I hope the movie is a bit weird only because they rushed that and it might get better when they release directors cut. Btw in the scene where Submarines collide, they reused scene from Rotf where Megatron revives and flies from the ocean, and you can see actual Megatron flying in TLK. I was like wtf, they couldn't even remove him digitally, but if it happened in the rush then probably they couldn't redo this scene without him in time.

The version I watched had this dialog:

Unknown Decepticon: I lived for this. I've lived to kill a planet.
Megatron: For our world, I activate this portal.
Unknown Decepticon: Yes, drain Unicron. He will be powerless.

Wait, what? I do believe all of the SF Cinemaes got to show it on the 21st, due to the technical specs of the cinemaes. ;)

At least I got to watch it on the 21st on the SF Kino, located in Ski. :)

The unknown Decepticon talking was Barricade. I guess Frank Welker wants Jess Harnell job or something

Honestly, I'm not surprised by this at all. I've read somewhere that Michael Bay only finished editing the final cut for ROTF just a few hours before the premiere in Tokyo.

Yes I was just about to say this.Only Nitro Zeus and Barricade were there with Megatron.Frank Welker loved to do Soundwave's voice the most so it's not surprising..it sounded the same to me.

It actually wasn't even done in time for that. That version was unfinished for the premiere.
