I'm enjoying transformers prime a lot and I've so far bought everything from prime except for a FE Cliffjumper, but I can't find any love for them. As much as I like the characters in the show, I just can't get excited about the toys like I do my MP or classics purchases. I would think since I like transformers and I like the characters that the Prime toyline would be a perfect fit...

Anyone ever felt that way about past/present shows and toys.

I hated the Unicron trilogy but the toylines produced some awesome stuff.

I'm the opposite. I like the Prime toys (FE in particular) much more than the show.

Usually when i do not like the show i do not like the toys.

With TF Prime i do not like the show alot as it lacks a red line and humor. The toys i don't dislike (i only have soundwave, cliffjumper and wheeljack) but as we in Europe only get the garbage leftovers i can't say i'm a big fan.

I love TF animated, but i was not a fan of most toys.

I thought Animated was a great toyline but an awful show.

agreed. could never get into it's animation style, but I love the toys.

hated US cybertron but I had been watching galaxy force for quite a bit before it aired here. I think I turned that shit off during the first episode they aired and just went back to GF. the shoehorning into armada/energon really turned me off when it was supposed to be it's own series.

loved the hell outta the gf/cybertron toys though.

    I had the same feeling.

I'm not so sure on Animated. Like the toys but only watched a couple of episodes.

I don't find it that odd.

I loved the G1 cartoon as a kid, but it always seemed rather disappointing that the figures couldn't be posed like on the cartoon or that some of the toys looked almost nothing like their cartoon and comic book counterparts.

While I really enjoyed the Transformers Prime cartoon I just couldn't get into the toys because they were so different compared to my Classics collection.

Which might be why I've been Cyberverse focused on the Transformers Prime toys. I like the show and I like the characters but they have a look where I don't want to mix all of them in with my deluxe figures. I'll get a few deluxe Transformers Prime figures but there is a lot I feel like I can skip and be happy.

I think the G1 cartoon sucks, think the comics are amazing, and love G1 toys.

I like the Prime show more than the toys. It's really well-written and each episode serves a purpose. I enjoy it as much as I did Masterforce and Victory. In Animated, there were tons of filler episodes peppered in between the good ones.

So far, I've only bought Soundwave for my collection and Megatron for a custom. I've passed on Optimus, Wheeljack, and Cliffjumper several times at retail. They're nice toys, but I don't desire a Prime collection at this time.

The Unicron Trilogy is nigh-unwatchable, but there are some really nice toys that came from it (especially Cybertron).

For Animated, though, I love both the show and the toyline. :)

Me too, I like the Prime show and watch it when I can. I haven't bought many toys though and don't plan to have a TFP collection. The only Prime figures I've bought are the SDCC and NYCC exclusives from HTS.

i'm growing more indifferent to the show as episodes go by, there's something lacking that was there with g1 and animated, not sure what it is, and the fe-rid downgrade in quality is putting me off the toys as well,

    I feel that way.
I like the Prime cartoon, and I like the Prime toys. But I'm not excited about them, nor do I have the rabid completionist desire that goes with masterpiece quality or generations toys.

They are nice, but are neither new nor novel. They are revisionist and next to the originals feel like a fad.

I love the show, but the toys have left me cold... that said, I'm kind of warming to some of them. It's taken a while though.

I'm only kinda into the new Prime show but I LOVE the figs - lots of fun and look great IMHO.

Other than that, I've only ever been into the G1 series. Hated Animated and all things Beast. Never saw RiD so I can't voice an opinion on that.

I love both the show and it's toys equally! :D

They both have great stuff coming up with each of their respective flaws.

The two things are usually tied together for me. If I don't care about the fiction, I can't get interested in the toys. I can't think of any case where that wasn't true for me.

On the other hand, sometimes I like the fiction and the toys still don't grab me.

Toys are imo superior to the source material in all cases.

    Just my personal opinion.
