Heard the Generations Dirge was just a remold of the Henkei one...if so what are the exact differences? The difference between paying $9 and probably over $50 it obviously a lot. If they are close I was just going to go with the Generations version.

    thanks for the help guys!

Quite a bit. The entire decoes are different, for one.

Gentei Dirge is something of a duller blue, with grey and gold bits, with the chrome, and a "Classics"-style wing deco. Generations Dirge is a vibrant royal blue, with black, a brighter gold, and a G1-style wing deco, with no chrome.

Shouldn't be any remolding, beyond tolerance tweaks.

The Generations version is WAY better. The shade of blue is gorgeous. The figure is like a hybrid of Botcon Dirge and Henkei Dirge. It's amazing. I think there's a thread that shows the differences. Search for it.

Wow! Thanks so much guys. I'm still new so sorry for being a fool.

So the Generations Dirge is more G1 looking than the Henkei one then? I ask because in my G1 collection I have all the Henkei seekers instead of their G1 counterparts because I just like how they look better.

Now to just find henkei Ramjet since there is no Generations version I've heard of...

Ramjet was released during the 2006 "Classics" line.

Ramjet was progonally released in the classics line 3-4 years ago here, so there is a US version, just not generations. He is also pretty hard to find.

Gah! Will have to add him to the "wants" list. Had no idea. I've been buying the entire Generations line and good to know there is a cheaper alternative to the damn expensive Henkei Ramjet. Sweet! just made my day that I don't have to shell out over a $100 for that damn Henkei Ramjet.

HA! Yours is the thread I was referring to. Don't know why they refuse to sticky that thread. If you need help looking for Dirge I can probably help you out.

The Classics line had Ramjet. Ahem.... I have one for sale in my sales thread lol. The Henkei version is great too. But it's very expensive now..

I have not given up just yet, now if I see Jazz and Tracks on the shelf I will need some help. I don't think they refuse to sticky it, there is already a lot of thread sticky and it would just add clutter. I expect the thread to pick back up in interest once the United line starts hitting shelves. I don't know how many of the United I will be able to pick up this year funds are tighter this year.

Alright cool. Just let me know.

And I still think they should sticky it lol. It's one of my favorite threads.

And yes... those United figures are going to be awesome. But I won't be able to get them all at once. Megatron, Scourge, Wheeljack, and Jazz are must haves though...

i finally got a Classics Ramjet earlier this year. depending upon timinng, the prices range from a sting to outright shark bite.

but he is so worth it. and save yerself the cash and guilt by snagging the Gens Dirge.
Even Mr. Magoo can tell you that it is better than the Henkei.

*fingers crossed now for Thundercracker* ...i am so ready for my Classics/Gens seeker set to be rounded out.

As others have mentioned, get generations Dirge & Thrust... they are beautiful & by far more cartoon-accurate than the Henkei ones (I have both sets, and the Henkei releases are the same molds, just with ridiculous lightning bolt patterns on their wings).

If you've already got the Henkei Seekers (Starscream, Skywarp, Thundercracker) & are into show-accurate, then I'd recommend getting Henkei Ramjet. Classics Ramjet is cheaper, but it has the "modernized" paint deco on its wings (like the 1st release of universe Starscream), vs. Henkei's more simplified & G1esque paint scheme.

Well, I got Henkei Starscream, Skywarp, Thrust and KO Thundercracker (who is just as good as the others IMO). Now Generations Dirge and hopefully soon a Classics Ramjet. I see he's going for around $20 on ebay. MIB isn't too important to me since I plan on opening and displaying.

So close to completing my Seekers...

Ah, there it is! I was going to include it but after the first search for it failed to find it, I decided to just go ahead and post what I had.

I also agree, it really needs to be stickied.

Generations Dirge is a cheaper and easier to afford than the Henkei Version.

    Get Generations Dirge.

Wait, hold the phone, when did Henkei Ramjet get to be worth $100???

I joined quite late in the Henkei game and still got mine for around £18.

    *goes to search eBay...*
