Can anyone tell me how much is known about the differences between Generations Shockwave and Arms Micron Shockwave? Arms Micron looks a bit darker... For those with some Arms Micron toys, how big and obvious is the peg for it?

    Thanks.

I think that AM Shockwave will have stickers like all the other AMs as well.

Usually takara's solicitation pics show the american model with "colours may vary" writing over the picture.

So unless we see in hand pictures or actual promo, do not trust what you see. Most, if not all details on him will probably be stickers like the rest of the AM figures, and there's a big chance his gun will be omitted for a similar looking minicon.

We have no idea what the differences are until we see a finished product. So far we've only had officially mock-up pictures, which are not the final product by any stretch of the imagination.

There was a toy event (to which no photography was allowed) in which Takara showed off product and a few pictures leaked, but there was no good shot of Shockwave, who was on display.

    Oh great...
The AM figures already look comically big on Prime figures, I can't fathom what this will look like on a FoC figure.

you gotta figure that they have made about 10 to 15 new micron molds..they are going to re use those in repaints (new plastic colors moldings) plus they are probably going to throw micron ports on anything they can hawk a $ buck on and get some folks to buy...shockwave being popular and not having a mold released in the generations/classics area for a long ass time is an instant win to sell in generations and then shoe horned in under arms micron banner also.

i would not be surprised if the FOC voyager soundwave /soundblaster got the same treatment.

I'd imagine the AM version will be easier to import and buy since I have a feeling scalpers and collectors alike will be clamoring for the domestic Hasbro version like mad.

From where I come from, Arms Micron Deluxe class figures are actually $10 cheaper than United Deluxe class figures, and about the same price as a Hasbro Deluxe class figure.

I kind of think TakaraTOMY has already factored in that the figures are getting smaller and not worth the United price points.

If they can give a Micron with every Arms Mircon figure at a lower price point than a United figure, then they can very well remove the Micron and give us paint instead for the same price or probably even cheaper.

Would you rather pay $40 for a United Shockwave with proper paint applications as compared to a $30 Arms Micron Shockwave that comes with a Micron, and appropriate stickers for the lack of paint?

Another point is that from what we know the Transformers Prime series is going to run for awhile. From history, they do not have a habit of making complete repaint lines like Hasbro does, therefore it makes sense for them to put the Fall of Cybertron figures under the Arms Micron toy line to keep things going.

Although it could also simply be because Shockwave is appearing in Transformers Prime...

Anyway, we will find out in a couple of months.

I don't mind microns but I would prefer show accuracy - meaning if they don't exist in the show, I would prefer painted apps over them.
