There's a scene where Blackout chops up a yellow Pontiac GTO with his blades. This has two meanings- 1) the significance of the fact that GM had stopped production of the GTO almost a year before and 2) the engine used in the movie Camaro was that of a GTO.

I thought it just referred to the fact that he was destroying something that may have been bumblebee in disguise..... I don't think it meant anything beyond that even with the GM cooperation in the flick

    I agree.

And btw- The "Camaro" in the movie IS a GTO (with a Saleen reproduction Camaro body).

I thought it also served as a display on why robots were carrying all those bladed weapons. Blackout's rotors would have made mincemeat out of an Autobot.

Blackout was just having some fun chasing Sam. We fans tend to look way deep into some things.

IDK that there is any signifigance. Almost all the vehicles that got any screen time at all are GM vehicles. It could just have likely be a Cobalt or Escalade in the scene.
