I'm not a big fan of Dues Ex Machina storylines in any show and it could just be poor writing/script supervision, but...Jack knew what the Scraplets were (including their name).

I'm fine with him getting his memories back, but there was no reason whatsoever for him to not keep his newer memories as well. The fact that everything saying he lost them was only dialog makes me suspect that the writers originally planned to have him keep the new memories, and were told no by higher ups well into the development of the episode.

^It'll probably rip off Animated and make Lockdown Ratchet's nemesis.

    Or it could "homage" it.

If Prime's going to homage any past shows at least let it be the good ones.

Some really good moments to the episode but it did have a few glaring problems for me.

Once again we get a really cool, really tough Decepticon that could have added another level of danger for the Autobots only to have it killed off. Just seemed so anti-climatic to use Scraplets when they could have used something cool such as Arcee or Jack outsmarting the Insecticon.

It was also rather disappointing that Prime has every little bit of his memory back including the things that happened since he became a Prime. Would have been more interesting if it had restored him to Prime status but not restored all of his memories.

Agreed. While I enjoyed the episode, it's disappointing that Optimus is just back to his normal self. It would have been much more powerful if he could only remember bits and pieces of things, and couldn't remember who Jack, Raphael, Miko, Agent Fowler and Jack's mom were. Hopefully the writers will still do something with it - i.e., maybe in a few episodes the Autobots discover that his memory is still damaged somehow.

Orion trying to fight back was interesting, but honestly I missed some good ol prime bad-assery.

I just love how he just looks at his Decepticon insignia and is confused.

It was totally "meh" like most Prime episode so far, but the enormity of the squandered story potential completely jettisoned in favor of a whiplash-inducing return to the status quo just disappointed me so much. I don't care how much kewl "jerk-shot" robo-carnage the episode had, shoddy storytelling is shoddy storytelling pure and simple.

Rescue Bots is proving to be a much more enjoyable watch...

You say it like Rescue Bots is a bad thing. :D  Personally I love both shows about equally, but I almost look more forward to RB than Prime, just cause I love the bots in RB.

The 3 parter was pretty good, tho I think more could've been done with it (it seemed a lil rushed at the end of part 3), but for the most part, I did enjoy it.

Not to continue the thread drift too much, but... I really am pleasantly surprised with RB so far where as Prime seems to capitalize on every opportunity to disappoint.

That series definitely needs it's own forum.
