I found the clip online of Starscream dying, my favorite scene because I laughed when Starscream was screaming in pain when he was screaming "Ah, my eye, I can't see, I can't see" . I was examining that scene to see if Sam acutally said the name "Wheeljack". I couldn't tell,

Sam "cut the rope, the bomb is about to go off in a few seconds"

Lennox "what Bomb?"

Sam "... bomb" ???  Did he say Wheeljack's bomb?


Anyways, back yo topic. Did you hope that Starscream would betray Megatron and try to be leader of the Decepticons again? As usual.

I know for a fact that Starscream keeps on trying to be leader for all the Transformer Cartoons. Yet in the movie he only betrays Megatron once. When Megaton dies and is left in the ocean, Starscream leaves earth to command the Decepticons. But when Megatron is revived he is pissed at Starscream, but Starscream said, "someone had to take command" . Then Megatron strangles him and says, "There is no command but mine". Then though out the rest of the movie trilogy, he remains loyal to Megatron.

Did you hpe for more Starscream betrayal?

 

Yes. The same way I hoped for so much else.

 

I even hoped that Starscream would end the same. Megatron/Galvatron would kill him.

 

I've listened to it quite a few times trying to make out "Wheeljack", but it definitely isn't that.

Something more like "We have 30 seconds on that bomb!"

Sam said, "...ck Bomb" I heard a ck.

I've had thoughts that Shockwave would just be an emotionless soldier and that he would the killer we know in rising storm comic.

 

Trust me, I have access to the movie. The 'ck' most likely was from 'seConds'. I've played that particular scene a million times and the audio is very clear. Hold on, I'll type out a transcript of that from the one I have.

 

I was hoping that MEgatron would stay dead and that Starscream would be the villain of the second movie.

This time I just wanted some more banter between Starscream and Megatron. We got some at the D.C. and in Africa but it wasn't nearly as awesome as the banter on the ship and on the roof in TF2.

The bolded line is what Sam said at 2:50-51. However, I think you may have mistaken "Whoa, grab it back! Knife, knife!" for "Wheeljack".

No because the only time he ever succeded was TFA. Every other time he's tried, Megatron has kicked his ass. See G1 and Prime for reference.

 

It's just that ever since someone posted Sam mentioning Wheeljack's name in that scene (which was like two weeks ago) I've been listening really closely to that scene. Never heard it.

Megatron wasn't leading much of anything in DOTM as far as you could tell. There wasn't much for Starscream to fight him for.

 

I think it makes much more sense to WAIT for Megatron's demise to THEN take his place [like Prime-SS and Movie-SS did], try to outright kill him is a stupid idea given the fact he tends to be a giant warmachine.

 

The Starscream Cycle in DOTM? I was kind of expecting it, actually. But it didn't happen...

 

It is kind of a shame that Starscream went down the way he did - and it would have been nicer to have seen him take his shot at Megatron. Perhaps if Megatron & Starscream had teamed up to take down Sentinel, only to have Starscream try to slip the knife in Megatron and be put down - fatally - before Optimus opened up on all left standing ..

oh well .. There is always the movie running in the back of your mind.
