Everytime the was a somber moment in DOTM they would play Linkin Park's "Iridescent", couldn't they have composed a track to add to those scenes and played Iridescent a little less.

I just remember it appearing three times [the wrecked Chicago, Sam trying to go after Carly, and Carly and Sam meeting up with each other], and two of them were only for very brief seconds [the first and the last, respectively].

It didn't bother me much, I thought it was overall well-used [specially in the Chicago scene].

I HATED THAT SONG. It totally ruined the moment when Sam first went to Chicago with Epps and them. It was a genuinley shocking and depressing moment, and then THAT DAMN SONG PLAYED AND SCREWED IT ALL UP.

It's not so bad after you listen to the whole song a few times.

I don't even recall hearing it in the film. Maybe you're paying too much attention to what's going on in the background.

No. I wish they had gone with the instrumental version when Sam and Epps went to Chicago. It seemed weird for the vocals to start only once they reached the city then stop mere seconds later. It seemed... random.

I like the song even if it does sound a little depressing, I even have the album it came off of.

I don't get why everyone's griping about it. I think the placement of the music's fine, but sometimes the vocals are annoying but I just like the music more in that song. If you don't like the song, don't pay attention to the background music then. It's not hard to tune it out.

That's gotta be it, yeah. At times, I couldn't even hear dialog over the explosions; imagine what that must've done for a song playing in the background. :lol

Meh, the amount it played didn't bother me. The only time I can think of where it could've not been played was the whole "It's over"-scene. I mean, as someone already pointed out, it played like, 2-3 minutes prior.

I thought it was perfectly matched when Epps and Sam rode into Chicago.

I couldn't hear some of the explosions over the sound of other explosions.

I hated that song but it's so, damn, catchy. I thought it fitted in with the film well such as when Sam was driving through Chicago. It wasn't as effective when Epps was saying "It's over. I'm sorry but it's over". But I liked it there too.

I might re-watch the movie now.

I liked how it was used in the film, especially when Sam was looking out of the car. Everytime i listen to the song i instantly visualize that scene in my head.
